Their second full-length album, Finding God Before God Finds Me (FGBGFM), was released in 2019, having a deluxe edition released in 2020, with the addition of the songs "Limits" and "Never Know", which both charted on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs, and a cover of the 90's hit "Come Undone", from Duran Duran.
The idea to form Bad Omens came in 2013 when Noah Sebastian began secretly writing lyrics while also performing guitar duties for a Washington, D.C.-based act named Immoralist. In 2014, Noah Sebastian departed from his former band, with Bad Omens in sight. The following year in 2015, he contacted an old friend, Nicholas Ruffilo, to start the band. He then added another friend, Vincent Riquier, who introduced him to a friend from Sweden, Jolly Karlsson.
Karlsson had known Riquier through being touring mates from an old project from Riquier. With those five members, the group moved out of their homes in Sweden and Richmond. Karlsson had the idea to make the move when a friend of his began a small record label that was initially producing the band's songs. Nick Folio joined after submitting an online cover of a demo the band put out while seeking a drummer.
The first name adopted by the band was "CHLDRN", and "Bad Omens" was originally supposed to be the title of one of their early songs. But Ash Avildsen, founder of Sumerian Records, suggested they changed the name to Bad Omens and picked another name for the song, which became the hit "Glass Houses".
The band put out an untitled demo EP containing rough versions of their debut album tracks, which caught the eye of Sumerian Records. The EP was good enough for Sumerian to recommend taking most of the tracks and putting them on a full-length.
Bad Omens' rising fame got them a spot on Warped Tour in 2017, which gave them notice from pop punk fans and metal fans alike. The same year, Noah Sebastian worked with American deathcore act, Winds of Plague on their fifth studio album Blood of My Enemy. The band embarked on what is seemingly their largest tour yet, supporting Parkway Drive on their Reverence tour along with Stick to Your Guns in the spring of 2018. After the tour, the band took time off to finish writing their sophomore album.
The band embarked on their first full US headlining tour in 2020, with support from Oh, Sleeper, Thousand Below, and Bloodline, but on March 13, the remainder of the tour was indefinitely postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2022, after filling in the spot of Every Time I Die on the Voyeurist Tour with headliner Underoath, Bad Omens toured with A Day to Remember, The Ghost Inside, and Beartooth. The band later announced on August 23 that they would be headlining a North American tour with Dayseeker, Make Them Suffer, and Thousand Below.
That same year they released their most known album, "The Death of Peace of Mind" which took them to charts and highlighted them in social media. The album, which Noah describes as the most experimental and faithful to who they want to be as a band, made great numbers and the songs "Just Pretend" and "The Death of Peace of Mind" became Gold Certified by RIAA in USA.
During 2023, the band toured the "Concrete Forever US Tour" supported by ERRA and I See Stars (which were making a comeback after +5 years away from the scene). Later the band announced dates for the "Concrete Forever 2024" in US and EU and were announced as guests for the Bring Me The Horizon's "Nx_Gn Wrld Tour", with Cassyette and Static Dress.
Although the band members remain low profile, the band keeps a solid fanbase, and according to the frontman, Noah Sebastian, they've been working on the sequel of "The Death of Peace of Mind". Also, according to sources, they've been working in a second album called "Concrete Forever", which will consist of remixes, acoustic renditions and collabs with other artists.
After the tour with BMTH ended and three days away from the beginning of the "Concrete Forever Europe" tour, Bad Omens released the single "V.A.N" featuring Poppy, who is going to be the support artist for the CF/EU tour.

I know what you are
I've seen the Devil more than I've seen God
I see through you
I know what you are
I've seen the Devil more than I've seen God
Cover your ears and shut your eyes
This is a call out
And I'm not scared to drop some names
You've dug your grave and you have no one but yourself to blame
I see the world in black and white
Because true colour always fades under the right lights
I see through you
I know what you are
I've seen the Devil more than I've seen God
And when he has you by your neck
I hope you choke on every fucking word you said
You've run out of luck and I'm calling your bluff
You stabbed me in the back but not deep enough
But not deep enough
I see through you
I see through you
I know what you are
I've seen the Devil more than I've seen God
And when he has you by your neck
I hope you choke on every fucking word you said
I see through you
I know what you are
I've seen the Devil more than I've seen God
And when he has you by your neck
I hope you choke on every fucking word you said
You said I'd never make it
You said I'd fall on my face
But now I'm right where I belong and I put you in your place
You said I'd never make it
You said I'd make a mistake
But now I'm right where I belong and you've got nothing to say
I see through you
I know what you are
I've seen the Devil more than I've seen God
And when he has you by your neck
I hope you choke on every fucking word you said
I see through you
I know what you are
I've seen the Devil more than I've seen God
And when he has you by your neck
I hope you choke on every fucking word you said
You stabbed me in the back but not deep enough
The lyrics to Bad Omens's song Glass House are a call-out to someone the singer sees clearly. They know what this person is all about and have experienced their true colors firsthand. The singer has seen more of the Devil than they have seen God, and they are warning this person that they will choke on the words they have said, now that they are caught in their own trap. The singer has seen through this person, and everything they have done is exposed to the light. True colors always fade under the right lights, and the singer is shining a light on this person's character.
The singer tells the listener to cover their ears and shut their eyes because what they are about to say will ruin their night. They are not scared to drop names and call out this person for their misdeeds. The person has dug their own grave, and nobody is to blame but themselves. The world is seen in black and white because true color fades under the right lights. The singer sees through this person, and they know exactly what they are.
Overall, the song is one of righteous anger and a warning to be careful of the people around us. It is a reminder that true colors will always show, and it is better to be on the side of virtue than to play dirty.

''I've seen the Devil more than I've seen God''
Now that, that is fucking good.
@mercuryfaith
+Michael Stgo Yeah, they are rebels bro! Seriously, just stereotyped phrases written to impress the kids. Nothing special but the song is not bad considering this genre! After all, if band like this bring new generation to know band like Tool, Protest The Hero, Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Mastodon, Faith No More, Lamb Of God...honestly I'm glad there are "Boy Metal Band" like this (:
@KrypRain
+mercuryfaith idk what you're talking about I'm 17 and I've been listening to tool and protest the hero since grade 4... Didn't get into this genre till Highschool I think u have it backwards
@bigzack420tc8
I got too see them last night with born of osiris, viel of maya,era and after the burial they were awesome live
@mercuryfaith
+bigzack420 tc I trust...even Blue or Backstreet Boys (commercial stuff for teenagers) are awesome live and make a great music, but that's not the point! I meant...even this band make music for teen....I'm glad because this "teenagers and easy" stuff, maybe brings someone to know something different and this brings cultural enrichment for all because the culture is transmitted form person to person.
@cloversaint3673
+bigzack420 tc I'm gunna go see them tomorrow night! :D
@Nothingtown
"You stab me in the back. But not deep enough". I like that
@rolmodel12.
+Nothingtown yeah...a good one..alot of the lyrics in this are pretty typical, but that's a good line.
@rolmodel12.
+Kappa Master I like "You stab me in the back, but not deep enough", it makes me think: you didn't kill me when you had the chance, you fucked up- now it's my turn. When I say 'typical' on the rest- I don't mean they suck- just nothing I haven't heard (a lot) before. "I see through you", "you've dug your grave and have no one but yourself to blame", etc. these are pretty common lyrics.
@cultoftimmy
I'm not the only one who thinks so ☺️
