Sweet Tuesday Morning
Badfinger Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Sweet Tuesday morning
You came and you smiled
And all of my fears,
They have left me

Sweet Tuesday morning
You came and you smiled
And love is the answer you gave me

I've been to places all around, astound me
I've seen the breaking of the souvenirs
I'm in a brightness I can feel surround me
And it's the first time I've felt it for years

Sweet Tuesday morning,
You came and you smiled
And love is the answer you gave me....mm-mhm

I've been to places all around, astound me
I've seen the breaking of the souvenirs

I'm in a brightness I can feel surround me
And it's the first time I've felt it for years

Badfinger was the most underrated band in history. The loss of Pete, Tommy and Mike is tragic

One of Joey's most beautiful songs.

@Steve915

Badfinger's album "Straight Up" was, and still is a, brilliant piece of work. This song is just one of the gems on it.

Good god almighty, what a perfect band was Badfinger?!

@papadopp3870

Have to comment. Badfinger live without post production. I love it, but I can't not be devastated by the band. Even 40+ years on. Nobody leaves alive, but that band, that music, those musicians--I wish it hadn't hurt so awfully to have been Badfinger.

@Hotrodelectric

+Kim Dopp Absolutely. Badfinger deserved a much better fate.
