Watching the really good ground?
Washing the memories away
There's something we shine its a feel?
There's something we care about
We're having a real good time
I guess this is the time of our lives
With nothing to care about
We're having a real good time
I guess this is the time of our lives
It's a pleasure to see u again
With nothing to care about
And soon, a pulley will float through the sky
A sight that nobody can deny
It's a pleasure to see him again
There's something we care about
We're having a real good time
I guess this is the time of our lives
It's a pleasure to see u again
With nothing to care about
The lyrics of Badly Drawn Boy's song Celebrate indicate a sense of nostalgia and enjoyment of the present moment. The first few lines, "As we meet, watching the really good ground, washing the memories away," suggest that the singer is meeting someone they haven't seen in a while, and they are reminiscing about past experiences. However, they are also focused on the present and enjoying the moment with this person. The lines "There's something we shine, it's a feel, there's something we care about" suggest that whatever they are doing together feels good and is important to both of them.
The chorus repeats the sentiment of having a great time and feeling like this is the "time of our lives." The lyrics "With nothing to care about" suggest that they are fully present in the moment and not worrying about anything else.
The final verse introduces a new element, a "pulley" that will float through the sky. This could be interpreted as a metaphor for something exciting or unexpected happening in their lives. The line "It's a pleasure to see him again" suggests that this pulley may represent a person or opportunity that they are excited to see again. The chorus is repeated again, reinforcing the idea that they are having a great time and feeling happy in the present moment.
