Crocodile Rock
Baha Men Lyrics

Na na na na na na
Na na na na na
Na na na na na

Na na na na na na
Na na na na na
Na na na na na
I remember when I was young
Me and dad had so much fun
Climbing trees and skipping stones
I had a couple of lizards
And a snake of my own!

But the biggest kick I've ever got
Was doing a thing called the Crocodile Rock
While the other kids were playing on the dock
We were jumping in the river savin' big ol' crocs
When

Hold your rocking, something sunk
And how your feet just can't keep still
I'm always catching them every time
And I guess I always will

OH BY CRIKEY!
It's Friday night!
Just grab a croc and hold on tight, man!
Plan on rocking was the way to put things right

Na na na na na na
Na na na na na
Na na na na na

Na na na na na na
Na na na na na
Na na na na na

Me and Terri by my side
Taking salties for a ride
Up the river to be safe and sound
Cause I know a few places
That he won't be found

I could tell you 'bout the trick we've got
When we move around a big ol' croc
Wrap the head and watch the tail!
That's the way my dad taught me
And it never fails
When

Hold your rocking! Something sunk
And how your feet just can't keep still
I'm always catching them every time
And I guess I always will

OH BY CRIKEY!
It's Friday night!
Just grab a croc and hold on tight, man!
Plan on rocking was the way to put things right

[Repeat: x4]

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Baha Men's song "Crocodile Rock," paint a vivid picture of growing up by the river and spending weekends saving crocodiles. The song is essentially a lighthearted tribute to a beloved childhood pastime. The opening verse sets the tone by describing the singer's budding love for the outdoors and the time spent with his father. He reminisces about climbing trees, skipping stones, and even owning snakes and lizards as pets. However, the highlight of his youth was "the Crocodile Rock," which involved jumping in the river and saving crocodiles while other kids played on the docks.

The chorus of the song is a rallying cry to "hold your rocking" and "grab a croc and hold on tight," as they planned on "rocking" their way into the weekend. The lyrics are an invitation to join in the singer's good time and enjoy the simple pleasures of childhood. The second verse is a continuation of this theme. The singer introduces a friend named Terri and describes how they would ride salties (saltwater crocodiles) upriver to safer places. The verse also mentions a trick they used to subdue these large reptiles by wrapping the head and watching the tail, something the singer's father taught him.

In conclusion, "Crocodile Rock" by Baha Men is a lighthearted, nostalgic song that pays homage to a beloved childhood pastime. The lyrics are playful and whimsical, offering a glimpse into a simpler time when spending a day by the river and diving into the water with crocodiles was the norm. It's an invitation to embrace your inner child and join in the fun.

Born after Irwin died.
I never got a chance to know him after that game called Sydney shark
I met him when i was the shark and then i jumped into the crocodile airplane and i dragged him down and a random guy ( which was Steve ) appeared , i didn't know who was him.
Untill....
I saw one of his documentary then years later i forgot ,but in 2019 or 2018 ,i saw PETA saying bad about Irwin , i thought he wasn't any animal lover , i thought he wanted to kill the animals.
So far so that i said he killed animals.
Until that memory of irwin when i watched one of his documentary came into my mind.
