So Much Better
Bailey Hanks Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
In Bailey Hanks's song So Much Better, the singer portrays the feeling of being in love with someone who doesn't reciprocate those feelings anymore. The first line, "All of this time I planned, I'd be patient, and you would love me again" suggests that the singer had been waiting for a long time, hoping that the person they loved would come back and love them again. However, the second line, "You'd come to respect my mind, and at last, you'd find you could love me again" indicates that the singer wanted a deeper connection with the person they loved, not just a superficial one.
The third line, "And I have turned my whole world upside down, trying not to let you go" shows how much the singer was willing to sacrifice to hold on to the person they loved. The last line, "Watching you walk away is like a fatal blow" highlights the pain and heartbreak that comes with losing someone you love. Overall, the lyrics depict a bittersweet and poignant feeling of unrequited love that many people can relate to.

Lililuff she was completely off key during some points. LBB was always spot on. That being said I think she did great during other songs in the show.
