Their first record, Bajofondo Tango Club, was launched in 2004 with great success, with a second lone project from pianist/DJ/composer Luciano Supervielle greeted warmly by reviewers in late 2005. More recent music from their third album, Mar Dulce, is a fusion of Latin Alternative with contemporary music forms along the Río de la Plata at the border of Argentina and Uruguay.

Una canción que me enseñó aquel gran amor, desde la primera vez que la escuché supe que escuchar esa canción era escucharlo a él. Luego, le pedía que me la cantara, y era tan mágico, que simbólicamente esta canción lo representaba a él. Después de alguna de las tantas veces que nos dejamos y volvimos, le mencioné que mientras estábamos distanciados no dejé de escuchar esta canción, él me dijo que, por el contrario, había evitado escucharla. Aquel comentario fue como una patada en el estómago, para mí escuchar no solo esta canción sino escuchar a Cerati es escuchar a ese gran amor, y aunque al final nunca fuimos, cada que quiero sentirme cerquita de él escucho a Cerati pero particularmente esta canción. No sé si para él también quedó marcada esta canción, a veces, muy en el fondo me siento convencida de que sí, de que está canción se volvió nuestro himno, un himno a ese amor tan anhelado e imposible. La música conecta más allá del plano de lo palpable, así lo siento y lo creo, quizá sea ella quien algún día sí nos permita converger, así sea a través de comentario de YouTube jajaja. Por si sí, no te he dejado de pensar un solo día.
