The lyrics of Bajofondo's "Ya No Duele" describe a moment of reflection and self-discovery. The singer starts by almost falling and losing faith in himself, but he consoles himself by thinking that he no longer falls for the same old traps. He lights a cigarette and leaves the “sucucho” (shack), carrying the weight of his past mistakes and searching for the time he lost. He wants to move on from his hard work for “chirolas” (pennies) and leave the line behind. Despite feeling tired and defeated, he takes a walk to see if it is still raining.
Throughout the song, the singer seems to be letting go of his past pain and replacing it with bitterness and nostalgia. He mentions the "bandoneón," a type of accordion that is often associated with tango music and melancholy. As the song progresses, he becomes more and more restless and eager to start a new path. He coughs from smoking too much and wants to walk away from the flowers that burn from the cold and the empty vase. He stands before the Río de la Plata and allows himself a moment to breathe.
Overall, "Ya No Duele" is a song about coming to terms with one's past and looking forward. While it acknowledges the pain and struggle of the past, it also embraces the possibilities of the future.

In a brown River Plate that I now look at without rush
Chiflo bajo, me pateo el hormigón mientras pienso,
I whistle softly, kick the concrete while I think,
Frustration, that I quit my job and that I quit for a good reason
Ya no duele el corazón
The heart no longer hurts
And tonight the wind of pain no longer blows
And it's a bitter bandoneon that threatens in my song
