Baldwin was the psuedonym used by Dutch singer-songwriter Boudewijn de Groot when he released a translated versions of his Dutch hits 'Het Land van Maas en Waal' and 'Verdronken vlinder' in the United Kingdom. English titles (put together on one single): 'The Land at Rainbow's End' b/w 'Beautiful Butterfly' (1966). The single failed and Baldwin remained a one-off experiment for De Groot. Copies of the Baldwin single are now highly collectible.

2. Baldwin is a punk, hardcore and indie-influenced rock from Orange County, NY, United States. Members are/were in Our Cross To Bear, XclamationX, Bust Out!, Given Up For Dead, Better Days, Fallen So Far etc.

The “order of the straight arrow” is a parody of the Boy Scouts, but there is an honor society within the Boy Scouts called “the order of the arrow”. The Boy Scouts of America do like using native themes, with sometimes questionable legitimacy. Snipes are tiny birds that are hard to shoot, hence the term sniper, but there is a tradition of sending someone on “a snipe hunt” which is like an impossible task or “wild goose chase” looking for something that doesn’t exist.

Yes everybody knows that Joseph isn't biologically Dale's son.
I think that even Dale knows, but just pretends not to in order to feel somewhat in control.
Think about it, if he lets on that he does know then they'd have to divorce and he'd hardly see the kid he raised from a baby. This way he has Nancy's income in addition to his own, a home in the same neighborhood as his childhood friends and a son who loves him and will never call John Redcorn dad. Pretty much making the best of a really messed up situation.

If Dale really did know, that would kind of ruin the joke, Dale thinking there's more to every story than there is while missing what's right in front of him
