Oh ek teri kashni jahi akh chaniye
Peepli ta pat tera lak chaniye
Ek teri kashni jahi akh chaniye
Peepli ta pat tera lak chaniye
O hega ke nahi hega
Ni hega ke nahi hega
Hega ke nahi hega sanu shak chaniye
Maar ke hulara ghera la de balliye
Maar ke hulara ghera la de balliye
Balle balle gide che kara de balliye
Balle balle gide che kara de balliye
Balle balle gide che kara de balliye
Balle balle gide che kara de balliye

Ek teri suhi suhi sang balliye,
Ek teri suhi suhi sang balliye ni teri sang balliye
Ek teri suhi suhi sang balliye,
Ban te tu chaaje pas rang balliye,ni aj rang balliye,
Banga nara banga chan gaade balliye,
Banga nara banga chan gaade balliye,
Balle balle gidde che kara de balliye
Balle balle gidde che kara de balliye

Balle balle gidde che kara de balliye
Balle balle gidde che kara de balliye

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Bally Sagoo's song Aaja Nachle are playful and celebratory, inviting the listener to dance and have fun. The first verse begins by describing the beauty of someone's eyes, saying "Oh, your almond-shaped eyes are like Kashni flowers / And your red cheeks are like the petals of the Peepal tree." The second line of the verse repeats this description with slightly different phrasing. The next line asks whether the singer's suspicions about whether this person will dance or not are correct. The final two lines of the verse are an invitation for the person to come dance with the singer.

The second verse continues the theme of celebrating someone's beauty and inviting them to dance. It begins with a reference to the person's "sweet, sweet voice" and goes on to say that they are "like a beautiful painting that [the singer] wants to be a part of." The next two lines mention a traditional Punjabi dance move called the "Banga" and encourage the listener to dance with the singer.

Throughout the song, the repeated refrain of "Balle balle gide che kara de balliye" is a call to dance and celebrate. The words "Balle balle" are often shouted while dancing in Punjabi culture, and the rest of the refrain roughly translates to "let's do the giddha [a traditional Punjabi dance] and have fun!"
