I totally understand the lyrics of this song... If a relationship is falling apart at it's seams but you're in so deep (you love too deep, too much; too strong,) that it requires more than yourself to do what you know is best, sometimes you just have to take courage within yourself, and dig deep and find that courage to lose and let go of what you truly want, know or have grown too familiar with (the two of you,), to give that person time to truly reflect on what he's really not been appreciating.  It's a big risk and a gamble at times knowing you want to salvage things and/or that your heart is still very much in it. But sometimes it may just be exactly what is needed or required "to win" (-win in the sense of either to win it all back and things turn out as you originally desired; you guys being together and you are better appreciated, or to 'win' in the sense of having found your inner strength to realize your inner worth and walk away knowing fully within your self and with the positive and right self concept that you TRUELY DESERVE Better and ought to be treated better than that. So you wake up from the lie and illusion of the situation in the present relationship, to truth that you are worth it, can start a new beginning, and you don't have to accept the BS, and you are/become/ end-up stronger for it in the end.)
