Movin' On
Bananarama Lyrics

When you're gone
And I can't pretend
That I know when
Our love started to go wrong
I know we planned to stay together
We just ran into stormy weather
But I had no way of knowing
And I don't know where I'm going
But I'm movin' on
We talked it over
We've said it all
But who could say
It would be this way
But the writing's on the wall
And now the sun has finally set and
This is where the story ends we
Didn't count upon a rainy day
But I had no way of knowing
And I don't know where I'm going
But I'm movin' on
But I had no way of knowing
And I don't know where I'm going
But I'm movin' on
I'm movin' on
I'm movin' on
I know we planned to stay together
We just ran into stormy weather
We couldn't see the dark clouds in the sky
But I had no way of knowing
And I don't know where I'm going
But I'm movin' on
But I had no way of knowing
And I don't know where I'm going
But I'm movin' on
I'm movin' on
But I had no way of knowing
And I don't know where I'm going
But I'm movin' on
The lyrics of "Movin' On" by Bananarama speaks about the end of a relationship and the uncertainty that comes with it. The singer acknowledges that their love has gone wrong, but they are still unsure when it started. Despite the plans to stay together, the couple has encountered unexpected problems that they didn't see coming. The writing's on the wall, and they've said it all, but they can't predict the future. The sun has set, and the story has come to an end. The decision to move on was not an easy one, and the singer has no idea where they are going, but they are aware that they need to keep moving forward.
The song captures the feeling of sadness and confusion that accompanies any breakup. The singer of the song is aware of what's happening but is unable to stop it. Stormy weather is used metaphorically to show that the couple has encountered difficulties that they couldn't control. The chorus emphasizes the singer's determination to keep moving, even though they don't know where they are going. Overall, the song captures the universal theme of letting go and moving on, even when the future is unclear.
