Future Shock
Bang Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Can you feel those tidal waves
Slashing knifes of endless change
Screwing up your patterned lives
Raining down wretched strife

Hashish dreams - Junkie screams
Crocodile tears - Escape your fears
Apathetic nine to five
Cashing paychecks to survive
Vandals lurking in the streets
Gloat behind their worthless feats

Hashish dreams - Junkie screams
Crocodile tears - Escape your fears
Crying-dying Future Shock

Teenyboppers idolize
Cash and carry packaged highs
Figurines stalk your space
Home is nothing but a place

Fearing ours will be there fate
Those across the water wait
Creeping tides mount their shore
Ominous rumble groans to roar

Hashish dreams - Junkie screams

Crocodile tears - Escape your fears
Crying-dying Future Shock

No telling how many Hundreds or thousands of miles me and a few of my friends blasted Bang country cruzin while in high school. There just wasn't much going on in Waco, Texas for hard rocking dudes like us.. We hit the back roads with plenty of Lone Star, Mexican weed, and do some "spider spotting"----spider spotting is sitting on your hood, left arm on steering wheel thru your window, and traveling slowly at idle while passing joints with your buddy....yep, we truly did this and none of us ever ended up in the ditch. We also blasted the best Rush album of all times---Rush's first album and Queens 1'st album---LONG :LIVE HARD ROCK!!!!!!!

bought this album in early 1972. Played the hell out of it. I grew up in northern Delaware, where the local radio station played their songs regularly.

if you like those bands, check out: Dust, Andromeda/Atomic Rooster, Jerusalem, Bunalim, Flower Travellin Band, Iron Claw, Jenghiz Khan, Josefus, Leaf Hound, May Blitz, Night Sun, Poobah. Cant think of any more at the moment but they all have that protometal sound with hints of prog. Should keep your ears busy for a while.
