Though gaining a significant fan response, the group seemed cursed to have come in at the tail-end of the pop metal boom. Despite MTV's Headbanger's Ball program giving some air time to their single "Someone Like You", a release that came complete with a TV-hopeful music video, their album failed to break the band into the big time. Still, "Someone Like You" has ended-up included in various multi-artist hard rock album releases.
Bang Tango continued to issue albums during the early part of the 90s. These include 1991's 'Dancin' on Coals', 1992's 'Ain't No Jive...Live', and 1994's 'Love After Death'. Still, with the emergence of the alternative music movement, bands like Bang Tango became relatively passé with most of the metal community. Saddled with the 'also-ran' label, the band broke up shortly thereafter, with bassist Kyle joining former Faster Pussycat frontman Taime Downe's industrial rock project, the Newlydeads, while Joe Lesté did some time as a stand-in member of L.A. Guns.
As well, Ketler and Knight also resurfaced in the group the Worry Beads. In 1998, Kyle Kyle and Joe Lesté resurrected the Bang Tango name for the 1998 release, Live (on the Cleopatra label). A best-of compilation, Greatest Tricks, saw the light of day in 1999, as did United and Live the same year. In 2001, Lesté formed a more modern-sounding alt-metal outfit, Beautiful Creatures, issuing a self-titled debut the same year on Warner Bros., and toured as part of Ozzfest.

I'm In Love
Bang Tango Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Darlin', does it feel good?
I'm waitin', waitin' for you
I'm waitin' up in your room
'Cause I'm in love, I'm in love
Perfection is under your skin
Well, your affection should be a sin
You tie, you tie, you tie, you tie me down
I love it so, I love it so, so I'll stick around
Take me
Darlin', I miss your sweet lips
Miss them so
Need to feel your mouth, need the touch
Darlin', where are you goin'?
And where have you been?
I'm gonna crawl to you closer
I lose control

I love it so, I love it so, so I'll stick around. Take me," suggest that the singer is willing to do anything for their love, even if it means being tied down.
The bridge of the song, "Darlin', I miss your sweet lips. Miss them so. Need to feel your mouth, need the touch," emphasizes the singer's longing for the person they love. The final lines of the song, "Darlin', where are you goin'? And where have you been? I'm gonna crawl to you closer. I lose control," suggest that the singer will do anything to be closer to their love, even if it means losing control.
