BarlowGirl's Philosophy
The band has gained a following with their "Anti-Conformity" message of "Don't be conformed, be Transformed" from Romans 12:1-2. Besides believing in abstinence and modesty, the band has also taken a stand on not dating, but their main message remains that people should look to God for love and security, and he will bring everything else into our lives. Very simply, trust God. They encourage people to trust the unseen. Just because you can't see God doesn't mean He isn't there!

Even more then I usually do
And although I know it's a long road back
I promise you
I'll be home for Christmas
You can plan on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light gleams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
I'll be home for Christmas
You can plan on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents round the tree
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light gleams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents round the tree
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light gleams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light beams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
If only in my dreams
BarlowGirl's song "I'll Be Home for Christmas" is a heartwarming ballad that expresses the longing of a person to go back home to be with their loved ones during the holiday season. The singer expresses their intense desire to be home for Christmas, even if it means encountering a long road back. The song starts with the singer dreaming of their loved ones and the place they call home, a place they long for more than usual. They then make the promise that they will be home for Christmas, assuring their loved ones that they should plan on their arrival. The singer then paints the perfect picture of a Christmas scene, asking for snow, mistletoe, presents around the tree and reveals that they will be there on Christmas Eve where the love light gleams, even if only in their dreams.
The singer also acknowledges the possibility that they may not be physically present for Christmas, but that doesn't mean they are not there in spirit. The song's message is that no matter where we may be in the world, the love and family we cherish always have the power to bring us home, even if only in dreams. The song is nostalgic, eternal, and captures the desire for people to return home for Christmas, which is often hard to achieve, but the song brings a sense of comfort that even if we can't be there physically. We can still be with our loved ones in spirit.
