BarlowGirl's Philosophy
The band has gained a following with their "Anti-Conformity" message of "Don't be conformed, be Transformed" from Romans 12:1-2. Besides believing in abstinence and modesty, the band has also taken a stand on not dating, but their main message remains that people should look to God for love and security, and he will bring everything else into our lives. Very simply, trust God. They encourage people to trust the unseen. Just because you can't see God doesn't mean He isn't there!
Self Titled Debut Album
BarlowGirl instantly hit the spotlight in 2004 with their acclaimed self-titled debut album, coupled with the success of its first single, Never Alone. The longest running No. 1 song in 2004 on R&R’s CHR and CRW Rock charts, Never Alone was named "Song of the Year" on each of these charts. The CD has sold over 250,000 units (as of April 2005) and featured the singles Never Alone and Mirror which both garnered much airplay on Christian radio stations. These number one songs earned the trio four 2005 GMA (Gospel Music Association) awards (formerly the Dove Award) award nominations, including the prestigious Best New Artist award, Best Rock Song and Rock Album. The trio was the best selling new Christian artist of 2004. BarlowGirl received a 2006 GMA award nomination for Rock/Contemporary Song of the Year for Mirror.
Another Journal Entry
Their second album, Another Journal Entry, was released on September 27, 2005. The first single from the album, Let Go, had already begun receiving airplay on Christian radio stations. Their next single from this album, I Need You to Love Me, has also received recent some airplay on some Christian radio stations after the album's debut. The album debuted at #3 on Soundscan's Christian album chart, and, as of Oct. 10, is at 85 on Billboards Top 200 Current Albums chart. The trio was nominated for three additional 2006 GMA (Gospel Music Association) awards: Group of the Year, Rock/Contemporary Album of the Year, and and Rock Recorded Song of the Year for Let Go.
Let Go

I remember times you lead me,
This time it's bigger now,
And I'm afraid you'll let me down.
But how can I be certain?
Will you prove yourself again
'Cause I'm about to let go and live what I believe
But trust that you'll catch me
When I let go, when I let go
What is this doubt in me
Convincing me to fear the unknown,
When all along you've shown,
Your plans are better than my own,
And I know I won't make it,
if I do this all alone
'Cause I'm about to let go and live what I believe
I can't do a thing now
But trust that you'll catch me,
When I let go, let go
When I let go, let go
When I let go, let go
When I let go,when I let go
When I let go let go (yeah)
The lyrics to BarlowGirl's song Let Go are a powerful expression of faith and trust in God, despite the fears and doubts that can creep in. The singer reflects on past experiences in which God has led her through difficult times, but now faces a new challenge that seems too large to overcome. She questions whether God will come through for her again, but ultimately decides to let go and trust that He will catch her.
The doubt and fear that the singer expresses in the first verse are common to many people who struggle to trust in God's plan. It can be difficult to let go of our own expectations and desires and trust that God has our best interests in mind. However, the singer recalls past experiences when God has proven Himself faithful, and believes that He will do so again.
The chorus of the song emphasizes the importance of letting go and trusting in God's plan. The singer acknowledges that she cannot control the situation, but she can control her decision to trust in God. The repetition of the phrase "when I let go" reinforces the idea that we must actively choose to let go of our fears and doubts and trust in God.
Overall, the lyrics to Let Go offer a powerful message of faith and trust in God's plan, even in the face of uncertainty and doubt.

They got me thru my pre teen and teen years. God used them. Almost every song of theres has touched my heart and related to the pain I had deep in my heart. Theres a song that broke me down to my floor when I was 10 years old going through parents divorce, going through neglection feelings of abandonment over addiction running its course through my family. It was a hard time. But I worshiped God through these songs and found strength each time. Thank you Jesus
