Never Alone
Barlow Girl Lyrics

But you didn't show, no no no
I needed you today
So where did you go?
You told me to call
Said you'd be there
And though I haven't seen you
I cried out with no reply
And I can't feel you by my side
So I'll hold tight to what I know
You're here, and I'm never alone
And though I can not see you
And I can't explain why
Such a deep, deep reassurance
You've placed in my life
Whoa, we cannot separate
'Cause you're part of me
And though you're invisible
I'll trust the unseen
I cried out with no reply
And I can't feel you by my side
So I'll hold tight to what I know
You're here, and I'm never alone
We cannot separate
You're part of me
And though you're invisible
I'll trust the unseen
I cried out with no reply
And I can't feel you by my side
So I'll hold tight to what I know
You're here, and I'm never alone
The song "Never Alone" by Barlow Girl is a powerful hymn of reassurance that despite feeling lonely and abandoned, there is always someone watching over and supporting. The lyrics reveal the overarching theme of the song, which is a message of hope and faith in God. The first verse describes the singer waiting for someone, presumably God, but they did not show up. The singer then cries out asking where God is, but there is no answer. Despite this, there is still a sense of faith that God is present, and they will never be alone.
In the chorus, the singer emphasizes the significance of God's presence, even though the person cannot see Him physically. They have a "deep reassurance" that God is present and always with them, even in difficult times when they cannot feel His presence. The refrain, "we cannot separate, 'cause you're part of me," reinforces the idea that nothing can come between the singer and God.
The second verse continues in the same vein, describing the invisibility of God, but accepting it without question. There is no explanation for His ways, but the singer chooses to trust what is unseen, believing that God is always with them. The song ends with the final chorus, emphasizing the unchanging bond between the singer and God, a bond that cannot be broken.
Overall, "Never Alone" is a lovely song that reminds us to trust in God, even in the darkest moments. It gives people comfort and guidance, letting them know that no matter what, they are never truly alone.

I waited for you today
I was hoping to see you today
But you didn't show, no no no
But you didn't come and I was disappointed
I needed you today
I needed your support, your presence today
So where did you go?
So, may I know where you disappeared?
You told me to call
You asked me to reach out to you
Said you'd be there
You promised you would come if I needed you
And though I haven't seen you
Even though I haven't physically seen you
Are you still there?
Are you still present to me?
I cried out with no reply
I expressed my emotions but got no response
And I can't feel you by my side
And I can't feel your physical presence beside me
So I'll hold tight to what I know
So I'll hold on to my convictions
You're here, and I'm never alone
You are with me, and I'm not alone
And though I can not see you
Even though I can't see you physically
And I can't explain why
And I can't find a logical explanation for this feeling
Such a deep, deep reassurance
Such a profound and substantial sense of comfort
You've placed in my life
You have instilled within me
Whoa, we cannot separate
We are inseparable
'Cause you're part of me
Because you are an integral part of me
And though you're invisible
And even though I can't see you
I'll trust the unseen
I'll have faith in what I cannot perceive

I made some lyrics for my friends to sing along in Spanish: hopefully this is close in meaning to the original!
esperé por tú
Hoy
Pero no te has vengo , ¿Por qué?
Te necesitaba
Hoy
¿A dónde fuiste?
dijiste que llamara
Y, “Estoy aquí para ti”
Pero no te he visto,
“¿Estás allí?”
He te llamado no respuesta
No puedo sentirte
Me aferraré a lo que sé
Eres aquí y nunca estoy solo
Aunque no puedo verte
y no tengo un razón por qué
Un tranquilidad tan profunda
Has puestó en mi vida
Imposible a separarmos
Eres parte de mí
Anunque no seas visto
Confiaré Tús benedicciones
He te llamado no respuesta
No puedo sentirte
Me aferraré a lo que sé
Eres aquí y nunca estoy solo
Imposible a separarmos
Eres parte de mí
Anunque no seas visto
Confiaré Tús benedicciones
He te llamado no respuesta
No puedo sentirte
Me aferraré a lo que sé
Eres aquí y nunca estoy solo

It's 2022 and I still feels new.... I first wrote its lyrics when I was in high school, it helped me overcome my depression back then, a few days ago when I was going through my old diary, i saw it and I remembered the goodness of the Lord, he's the same yesterday today and forever 🥳🥳

This song came out the year I lost a boyfriend in a car wreck.I wasn't a Christian at the time so I just thought this was a song that related to how I felt when I was supposed to see him that night but obviously, he didn't make the date. 9 years later as a Christian I know this is totally about God always being there even when we can't see or feel him. Even in our darkest days, he is there.

I think you missed the point of what I said. It was how perspective changes after you become a Christian. I now turn to Jesus in hard times and he provides a lot more comfort than wishful thinking ever did. :)

+SawaneeKimbirli preach it sister. Some people just dont understand how becoming a christian changes people's perspectives. Things seem like a coincidence or accident or just bad luck without jesus but with him, we know that everything happens for a purpose. with jesus, everything suddenly seems to have a purpose or reason for happening. Also i am sorry for what happened to you but i am happy you came to jesus :)

+Joshua Fuhrman also if you havent already, try listening to jamie grace on you tube. She is such a beautiful singer and her songs are so joyful they make me want to jump up and sing and dance.

I miss this type of raw and very personal Christian music... the kind you'd have a personal conversation with your maker, not just superficial words.
