[Verse 1]
Gods ain't gonna help you, son
You'll be sorry for what you done
Them gods gonna hurt you, son
When you play with a loaded gun
When you play with a loaded gun

[Chorus]
They ain't gonna catch you when you fall
You'll be pleading while you're bleeding

[Verse 2]
They ain't gonna hear ya son
Don't care about what you done
They ain't gonna help you son
You'll be sorry for what you done
Be sorry for what you done

[Bridge]
Old Pyth, cranky old bull
Make you sorry for what you done
Hense, in a black veil
Gonna prick you for what you done
Roathus got you empty
Got you weeping for what you done
I say mother, lonely old gal
Tear your heart out for what you done
Tear your heart out for what you done

[Chorus]
They ain't gonna catch you when you fall
You'll be pleading while you're bleeding

[Verse 3]
Gods ain't gonna help you, son
Them gods gonna hurt you son
You'll be sorry for what you done
You'll be sorry for what you done

I just love the lil "thank ya" at the end, like rucks was actually playing the song to his companions and they started clapping

@zamb4010

I'm pretty sure the pantheon is the last song in the soundtrack, With the first track being rucks giving a spoken intro. As a result I'd like to think that the entire Soundtrack of the game is actually played by rucks, making him both the narrator and the musical accompaniment throughout the kids journey.

I still believe this song is an admonishing critique on mortal pride, specifically against the Caelondians. "The Ura feared and respected Gods. We put Their faces on our walls, and turned Them into toys." I think deep down, Rucks knows the City had it coming. It was only a matter of time before their hubris, the "loaded gun," would literally blow up in their faces.

That’s a really interesting point, bro!

not to dissimilar to johnny Cash's "Gods gunna cut you down"

@@SgtKaneGunlockI literally came to reminisce over this song because I just heard “God’s gonna cut you down” close out a stage play. It was actually rather intense.
