THE FINAL TRAIN
BatAAr Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

A sky consumed by fear
Another brimming with hope
Two ends of a broken promise
The brightest light of all
Casts the clearest shadow
Realities apart

Will the memories be our only escape
Will we share that same morning?

Waiting
Lost in between, stuck in a dream
I'm following
The voices that turned to whispers serene
Awaiting
That final train to take me away
I'm falling
Like tears in the rain, we're falling in vain

Another daybreak
Another daybreak
Another daybreak, a new dawn
Another daybreak
Another daybreak
Another daybreak, train goes on

Getting off
Moving on
Cause if I never met you, it wouldn't hurt as bad
Is it wrong?
But now I can't forget you, what little we had
Die with me in this world
Or live with me in the other
Another train passes by

Is the story written in the clouds,
When they open, what's the ending?

Waiting
Lost in between, stuck in a dream
I'm following
The voices that turned to whispers serene
Awaiting
That final train to take me away

I'm falling
Like tears in the rain, we're falling in vain

Overall Meaning

The opening lines of "A sky consumed by fear, another brimming with hope" sets the contrasting tones of fear and hope that run through the entire song. The mention of a broken promise hints at a sense of betrayal or disappointment that has divided the characters in the narrative. The reference to the brightest light casting the clearest shadow suggests a sense of clarity amidst confusion, with light symbolizing truth and shadow representing the hidden or unspoken aspects of the situation. The idea of realities being apart hints at a sense of disconnection or distance between the individuals involved, emphasizing the emotional turmoil and uncertainty at play.

The repetition of the theme of memories being the only escape suggests a longing to retreat into the past to find solace or comfort. The question of whether they will share the same morning hints at a desire for reconciliation or unity despite the challenges they face. The imagery of being lost in between and stuck in a dream conveys a sense of confusion and vulnerability, as the singer navigates their emotions and struggles to make sense of their situation. The transition from following voices that turned to whispers serene to awaiting the final train highlights the anticipation and apprehension of a pivotal moment that could bring closure or resolution.

The theme of moving on and grappling with the pain of a past relationship resonates throughout the lyrics, particularly in the lines "Getting off, moving on, 'cause if I never met you, it wouldn't hurt as bad. Is it wrong?" This conveys a sense of conflicted emotions, with the singer grappling with the idea of whether the pain of loss is worth the joy of the connection they once shared. The mention of dying or living together in this world or the other presents a poignant contrast between staying in the past or moving forward into the unknown. The passing of another train symbolizes missed opportunities or the passage of time that waits for no one.

The contemplation of the story being written in the clouds and the uncertainty of its ending adds a sense of existential reflection to the narrative. The repetition of the chorus reinforces the themes of waiting, following, and falling, underscoring the cyclical nature of emotions and experiences. The comparison of falling like tears in the rain emphasizes the vulnerability and transience of human connections, highlighting the bittersweet nature of love and loss. The final mention of falling in vain encapsulates the sense of regret and resignation that permeates the lyrics, as the characters grapple with the inevitability of their choices and the uncertainty of their future.

@sleepylink01

I still can't believe this is the end of BatAAr. But this doesn't mean our love ends here! STAY VICIOUS, FOREVER!

@sarahwhitman1333

I introduced my late brother to your music this time last year and he loved your music. But like my late brother, Bataar is now gone.
But just like with my late brother, there are all these wonderful memories that I can look back on.

So this is it. Thanks for sticking with us, ever since we were a small band living in Sweden. Yeah this it. It’s been an adventure. It’s the end of the reign of Simon Patrik Tobias and Endigo. Through all these songs and concerts y’all have been by our side. There’s no fans in the world we would rather listen to us. It’s been a wild ride, so while we can still be heard, here’s one last song, from the number one, in the world

@TheRealKJ_YT

Nice.
I get the reference.

@piticofuentes635

You will be missed as a band, good luck on each of your futures. The Legacy of BatAAr will never be forgotten. ❤❤❤

I think the thing that made me cry the most was how sad Simon looked near the end. I just wanted to reach through the screen and give him a big hug 😢😢😢💞💞💞
(Edit)
But no seriously when the video of their last live started Simon's face was enough to make me tear up. He just looked like he was about to burst into tears 😭
