2) Battery is a thrash metal band from Denmark and was formed in febuary 2008 by Chris, Andreas and former rhythm guitarist Dennis, shortly after the demise of their former band Abattoir.
The first rehearsal demo was recorded in 2008 and pressed on tape in 15 copies given to friends.
Shortly after, Dennis left the band and the band went on ice until the summer of 2009 when Jannick joined as both first and current bass player.

Empty Room
Battery Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
becomes my own obsession as reflection turns blank and whispers take
a deafening tone. Standing in the doorway of an empty room where
words find their place in the pillars of truth. We pray for escape,
escape preys on confession. Confession is admission that we are weak.
Weakness is not a question - it is exception, an exception to the
rules of defeat. Look beyond this tired face and take me breathing
to the keeper of my fate
The lyrics of "Empty Room" by Battery are an introspective and emotional exploration of the feelings of rejection, obsession, weakness, and the need for escape. The opening line "There is a fire that keeps me running as my home burns and rejection becomes my own obsession" creates a powerful image of a person running away from something that is destroying their world, while at the same time becoming obsessed with the very thing that is causing them pain. The singer is fighting their own demons, as seen in the lines "as reflection turns blank and whispers take a deafening tone", indicating self-doubt and a feeling of being alone and unheard.
The chorus, "Standing in the doorway of an empty room where words find their place in the pillars of truth. We pray for escape, escape preys on confession. Confession is admission that we are weak", highlights the struggle of facing one's own truths and coming to terms with our flaws and weaknesses. The singer is searching for a way out, but escape seems to be elusive and confession is only amplifying their sense of vulnerability.
The conclusion of the song "Look beyond this tired face and take me breathing to the keeper of my fate" is a desperate cry for help, asking others to see past the surface and recognize the pain and suffering within. Overall, the lyrics of "Empty Room" by Battery are a poignant expression of the human condition, the need for connection and understanding, and the fragility of our existence.
