2) Battery is a thrash metal band from Denmark and was formed in febuary 2008 by Chris, Andreas and former rhythm guitarist Dennis, shortly after the demise of their former band Abattoir.
The first rehearsal demo was recorded in 2008 and pressed on tape in 15 copies given to friends.
Shortly after, Dennis left the band and the band went on ice until the summer of 2009 when Jannick joined as both first and current bass player.
In 2009 the demo “Born In a Beaker” was recorded and released by the band itself in 100 copies on tape, and was spread throughout the Danish underground paving the way for the first gigs – the first being with Crematoria and Pagan Rites in April 2010, and the second in July at the Metal Magic Festival – accompanied by Atziluth on Live-guitar.
Atziluth was soon replaced by Jeppe Campradt until the summer of 2011 where Jeppe became the current rythm-guitarist in Battery.
2011 saw the first release on Deadbangers Productions (also the last release as a 3-piece) entitled “NUKE” which was distributed and sold far beyond Denmark, and soon followed up by the EP “Mental Pollution“, also on tape by/through Deadbangers Productions.
2014 will see the release of the first full-length album by Punishment 18 Records, containing 10 tracks of frantic and intense Thrashing Speed-Metal fury!!

Hush
Battery Lyrics

That means anything
The lights are all off
Nobody's here
Say anything
That could ever mean something
Say it like you mean it
Like you could ever mean it
Oh hush
How I wish your face would break
Lying on the inside
That smile I could never take
I saw it all backwards
Over and over
I couldn't hear it calling
Its better now
That I can breathe alone
Say something
That has nothing to do with anything
Say anything
Like when you were alone
Say something
Never smile and mean it
Say anything
Just leave it there
The lyrics of Battery's song Hush seem to be about the difficulty of communicating with someone who is not being truthful, and the desire to see through their lies. The first verse implores the subject to say something, anything, that could have meaning, but it is implied that previous statements have been insincere. The chorus then emphasizes the singer's wish that the subject's facade would break, betraying their true emotions. The second verse uses imagery of seeing things backwards and not hearing calls, suggesting the difficulty of understanding someone who is not genuine. The final plea for the subject to "leave it there" seems to suggest resignation rather than continued attempts to communicate.
The repeated use of "hush" in the chorus could be interpreted in two ways. The first is as a command to the subject to be quiet and reveal their true feelings. The second is as a request to the singer's own mind to quiet down and give up the desire to understand, accepting the reality that communication may be impossible. The song's title, Hush, supports this dual interpretation.
Overall, the song is a poignant portrayal of the frustration that comes with trying to communicate with someone who is not being truthful. It is a reminder of the importance of honesty in relationships, and the pain that can come when that honesty is lacking.
