TRAP
Battery Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Twist my arm till I scream your words, but nothing seems to change.
Condemned for looking for the exit to this maze. Thoughts run deep
but so does blood. I will wipe it away and show you what you have
done. Forced to feed the flames, but do I have the strength to remain
unchanged? Slit my wrist till I bleed and the trail has begun. A bloody
hand grasps the bottom rung. I am weak but I will try to clinch my
fist with fury and shatter windows with my cries. Forced to feed the
flames, but do I have the strength to remain unchanged? Reach through

Overall Meaning

the haze and grasp for air, but find only suffocating smoke.
Realize that I've been trapped in this cycle of pain and torment,
unable to break free. But despite the overwhelming darkness, I
refuse to give in. I will fight until my very last breath to find a way
out of this trap.

The lyrics of Battery's song Trap delve into the theme of being trapped and unable to break free from a cycle of pain and torment. The first line, "twist my arm till I scream your words, but nothing seems to change" suggests a sense of powerlessness and futility. The singer feels like they are being controlled and manipulated by someone else, but their efforts to resist or escape have been unsuccessful. The line "condemned for looking for the exit to this maze" further emphasizes the idea of being trapped in a confusing and overwhelming situation.

The following lines, "thoughts run deep but so does blood" and "forced to feed the flames, but do I have the strength to remain unchanged?" evoke a sense of internal conflict and struggle. The singer is torn between their desire to break free and their fear of the consequences that may come with doing so. The imagery of self-harm - "slit my wrist till I bleed" - suggests that the singer may be grappling with mental health issues or a self-destructive mindset.

@SLAY 503 Hi Slay, yes, I've caught 2 rats & 1 mouse with it. I've not quite had it a month, & now I'll be returning this one because as of the time of my previous post it seems to have quit working.

I check it at least once per day, & this last time, (couple nights back), when I checked it, to my horror the bait was gone. I have another zapper from another company, way better built than this Victor one, but they took them off the market a couple years ago. I was going to get another, & that's how I ended up with Victor's.

I didn't like the bait cup & all those big holes, so I put a couple layers of duct tape over all of it. In my better one the holes are smaller than a pencil, but when I saw those big holes in Victor's, I knew that a good sized mouse/small rat can just put their head in & eat all your bait without going inside the trap.

When I first got my other zapper, (I mean it's way better built,) I didn't like the idea of just putting peanut butter in the bait cup. Thinking ahead about cleaning, as I knew it would
need it now & then, I got creative. I figured it would be easier if I mixed the peanut butter with cotton balls, after all I'm not looking to feed them, just attract them with the smell.

It's worked like a charm. I just pick it up & toss out. I use one ball for about 6 months. I just smear a teeny tiny bit of peanut butter on it to just refresh the smell. So, I did the same thing with Victor's trap, & that little plug stayed fastened in there too, against gravity. My first zapper's bait cup is on the floor of the trap, not on the side of it like Victor's.

So I was shocked the other eve when I went in to check it. The light was not going off, but when I picked it up to check it, my bait was gone. I mean cotton & all, that cup was licked clean, so the little devil somehow didn't get zapped, nor did he get the bait from the backside either as the duct tape is still all in place. So I turned it off & turned it back on, & yep, the light flashed green & it buzzed. So now I'm bewildered, wtf happened???

So I left it, but it was nagging at me, so I checked it a couple hours later, & just to make this short, the light is flashing green but I've not heard another buzz since after about 12 tries. I'm so disheartened, & very sorry, I didn't mean to write a book. I just have way too much I could relay over the past 6 years about rodents, ugh!! ☹

You should include little rat silhouette stickers to put on the trap when you get one.

I got one Rat that has learned how to open the bait door from the outside, as hard as it is for me to open and close I couldn't believe it. I set up a video camera and recorded the kills and the rat opening the door to get the bait without going inside. It does work for sure, I have killed about 10 rats so far with it on one set of batteries. When they get shocked they don't even move or anything they just fall down and die right in the trap.

Duct Tape the bait lid, it solved the problem for me.

I finally got these rats that were like beavers with this thing... everything else was not working. These rats got smart to all the other things... spring traps, sticky plates or whatever, but this thing got em.
I recommend this for mice as well. Rats were like 13"-15" long head to tail.
