Madness
Battle Beast Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

One and only reality
Fatal journey to infinity
Chase the monster of the seven seas
Face it, kill it, and you'll be free
I am thy strength, I am thy sword

My name is madness
And I'm the light you need in darkness
You can't escape from me
'Cause I'm madness
And I will tear your soul apart
We die as one
As one

Know your demons to know where to strike
Dark is their home and well they hide
Bloodbound battle, a quest for truth
I'm the last one to die in you
I am berserk, I fear no fear

My name is madness
And I will hunt you down in darkness
You can't escape from me
'Cause I'm madness
The demon slayer in your head
I'm always there

No one can hear you scream
No one will find you
There's no way out of here alive

[Chorus 2x]

Until the end

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Battle Beast's song Madness are an ode to the power of the human spirit to overcome adversity and face one's inner demons. The opening lines, "One and only reality / Fatal journey to infinity," speaks to the inescapable nature of our own existence and our limited time on this earth. The call to "Chase the monster of the seven seas / Face it, kill it, and you'll be free" urges the listener to confront their fears head-on, knowing that the only way to overcome them is to face them down.

The chorus proclaims the singer's identity as Madness itself, a force that can be both destructive and redeeming. "My name is madness / And I'm the light you need in darkness / You can't escape from me / 'Cause I'm madness / And I will tear your soul apart" speaks to the dual nature of this force, which can both guide and destroy. Similarly, the second verse urges the listener to "Know your demons to know where to strike / Dark is their home and well they hide," recognizing that true strength comes from self-knowledge and the ability to face one's own fears and weaknesses.

Overall, Battle Beast's Madness is a powerful anthem to the human spirit's ability to overcome obstacles and face down the demons that threaten to consume us. By embracing the force of Madness itself, the singer urges listeners to find strength in the face of adversity and to never give up in the quest for truth and self-knowledge.

Well since famous is not really an exact thing it's hard to define. In their home town for example, they perhaps could be considered famous. On international mainstream perspective certainly not.

They do classic metal with 80s retro vibe but with modern production.

1) it's not the kind of music very relevant to mainstream music. Won't get played on radio, in movies, tv shows etc
2) to be honest, it's not even a sound very relevant to current metal industry. In the USA and UK for example, metal is now considered more on the hard-core side of things. People don't really think about the next big metal band as something that is old school 80s music. They may like it but industry people arnt thinking this is what we can sell to kids.
3) such music will be put in the box of 80s metal. Why would a radio station or someone listen to this, which reminds of the classic 80s metal bands, Judas priest, Maiden, they will just play Priest or Maiden. It's too classic sounding to have respect in modern metal circles and the band is too small, unknown and without legacy to have respect amoungs classic metal fans.
4) I think another big hurdle is the band name. They came up with it when they were in school, which is why it's a little silly. I like every song they have ever done, they have become one of my fav bands ever. However, even I deliberately didn't click on one of their videos that was showing in my reccomended for 2 years. I thought the name was dumb, that the band would be low quality dungeons and dragons fans. I finally checked them out because one of their songs was in a monthly power metal compilation. I'm listening through the songs and then I hear Noora's voice and I'm like, hold on, who The fuck is this singer. Looked to see who it was and was surprised to see it was that band I had deliberately not checked out for 2 years.

I'm not too worried though. I first saw them live in 2015 uk with crowd of 100 people. These days they play to 1000 people In Europe. So they are slowly growing overtime. The quality of their music is enough to entertain people but it's just the slow process of people randomly choosing to check out the band online.

I am supporting Battle Beast fully! They sound great imo and I am hooked ever since I saw this band live last year. I entered the concert arena where I was to see Sabaton on tour. Battle Beast was a guest and as I entered they were playing Touch In The Night. Best version I ever heard, way better than the studio one. Damn, they are good!
They deserve much more recognition and fame!

Keep it up, Battle Beast!!!

This is a great combination between heavy metal and power pop. Finally after more than 20 years an album of heavy metal with commercial influences worth buying!!
