BX toured in Fall/Winter of 2011 with Diamond Plate & Rose Funeral, and were hand picked to play the CMJ music fest with Turbid North, Kvelertak, & Skeletonwitch in Brooklyn NY on 10/21/11.
The band recording their first full-length album "Pursuit of Honor" (recorded and co-produced by Josh Schroeder) at Random Awesome Recording Studio in Bay City, Michigan.

The lyrics of Battlecross's "Better Off Dead" present a message of anger, hatred and the urge of vengeance. The lines clearly speak of the singer's anger towards an individual who is an addict and a fool, someone who is unworthy of respect. The singer wants to grab this individual by the throat and choke them, which almost makes it seem as if they're about to take physical action. The message is deeply violent and is a representation of how negatively the singer perceives this person.
The lines "You're better off dead, I am why you can't sleep at night" show how the singer holds a significant amount of power in this relationship. The final lines, "I will piss on the grave where they lay you for eternal rest. You're better off dead," are alarming in the way it represents the singer's desire to keep harming even after the individual's death. Overall, the lyrics offer a raw and almost terrifying image of an angry person, who would do anything to cause pain to someone they despise.
