The “winds obey” is a reference to when Jesus was on a boat with his disciples and the storms came, and Jesus spoke the words “Peace! be still”; the line “the winds obey” is a popular line in many gospel songs and hymns. Listen to the ad libs at the end, and you will get a sense of what the song is about.
