"It’s a lot about myself, I guess. It’s about me facing depression head-on. I was trying to work on music and I was feeling so fucking low. Just like, in the dirt. I couldn’t get anything to happen. My creativity was completely zapped. I was kind of breaking down. I hadn’t really been sleeping. I started working on this song, and I really liked how it was feeling. I put lyrics down. I did the whole song really fast. It was one of the only songs on the record that I did in one or two sittings. I realized if I just kind of faced how I was feeling, I could use it to my advantage. I could let it out."

Down the Line
Beach Fossils Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Don't got no degree
Written on the concrete
A-C-A-B
Couldn't really tell you
What I'm tryin' to find
Everyone's so boring
Makes me wanna lose my mind
So call me up tonight
If you need somewhere to get out of the light
These days I feel like I do nothin' right
So come with me and we'll go down the line
I'm thinking of you fondly
When I'm on the train
I really hate your poetry
You hate mine the same
So call me up tonight
If you need somewhere to get out of the light
These days I feel like I do nothin' right
So come with me and we'll go down the line
These days I feel like I do nothin' right
So come with me and we'll go down the line
Beach Fossils's song Down the Line is a commentary on feeling directionless and unsatisfied with the status quo. The opening lines "I don't want your Wall Street, Don't got no degree" suggest a disdain for the traditional path of success and conformity. The lyrics "Written on the concrete, A-C-A-B" can be read as an acknowledgment of systemic injustice and the frustration with the current state of society. The line "Everyone's so boring, Makes me wanna lose my mind" highlights the mundanity of everyday life, which can lead to feeling unfulfilled and restless.
The chorus, "So call me up tonight, If you need somewhere to get out of the light," serves as an invitation to escape the pressures of society and seek refuge in each other's company. The lines "I'm thinking of you fondly, When I'm on the train" suggest a longing for connection and a desire for meaningful relationships. The lyrics "You hate mine the same" suggest a mutual understanding and acceptance of each other's flaws.
The closing line "These days I feel like I do nothing right, So come with me and we'll go down the line" can be interpreted as a call for companionship and support in times of uncertainty and self-doubt. The "line" could represent life's journey, with its twists and turns, and the need for someone to navigate it with.

How do bands even go on tour? does a management company do it for them or do they literally save money and pay to tour out of their own pockets?
@Fminus999
if you have a booking agency it's fairly easy because they do the work for you. alot of bands change their fees when they play abroad as to get more gigs to break even. there's alot of factors your should consider, for example: bands from america and uk have it fairly easy getting gigs in western continents because of a certain culture monopoly, the other way around is more difficult because of general apathy towards outsider bands, blablablayakketyyak
