Beach House Lyrics
Tell her something (Tell her something)
Tell her nothing (Tell her nothing)
Tell her that you're waiting
And I know you like it
So you try to hide it
I was looking (I was looking)
Out the window (Out the window)
All the people waiting
Tell her something (Tell her something)
Tell her nothing (Tell her nothing)
Tell her that you're fading
And I know you like it
So you try to hide it
And you know I like it
So I dive to find it
In eyes, lost in confusion
Golden hearts, left all illusion
Is it my imagination?
Shadow, flicker creation
In, high over the ocean
Waves crash, mechanical motion
Left of illusion
Left of illusion

Within a year of formation, the group charmed indie music enthusiasts across the blogosphere with their languid songcraft, while the eerie warmth of "Apple Orchard" landed on Pitchfork's Infinite Mixtape MP3 series in August 2006. Two months later, Beach House issued their eponymous debut album for Carpark. Fall shows with labelmates Over the Atlantic were also scheduled.
Victoria can also be heard on Frenemies' Birds in High School album. She and Chris Freeland created harmonies on the song "Waiting for the Ambulance". Victoria can also be heard on Grizzly Bear's 2009 release Veckatimest and she sings on "Slow Life", a Grizzly Bear track featured on the official soundtrack for Twilight: New Moon.
In September of 2009 Sub Pop Records announced that Beach House had signed and that a follow up album to 2008's Devotion, Teen Dream would be released in early 2010.

That Kid
tell her something
tell her nothing
tell her that you’re
waiting
and I know you like it
so you try to hide it
i was looking
out the window
all the people
waiting
tell her something
tell her nothing
tell her that you’re
fading
and i know you like it
so you try to hide it
and you know I like it
so I dive to find it
In eyes, lost in confusion
Golden hearts, left all illusion
Is it my imagination
Shadow, flicker creation
In, high over the ocean
Waves crash mechanical motion
Left all illusion
Left all illusion

First half: "huh, dunno what to think of this... I don't think I'm feeling it all that mu-"
* Drums come in and second half starts *
"I'm in fucking heaven."
Edit: now I love both parts. I love you, Victoria and Alex. My favorite band ever ❤ so excited for 7
Edit again: I seriously can't stop repeating this song. It's definitely one of their best, holy shit. I'm afraid I'll get sick of it now lol
Last edit: this song gets me emotional from how beautiful it is. Song of the year for me already. I'm so thankful this exists.

Shattered, flickered creation
And hide over the ocean

The way they drop little hints about the drums is just incredible, i love this song so much and the shift it represents for the band, allowing them to soar to greater heights and fill larger spaces than ever before

Beach House amaze me with how consistently they put out GREAT music.

Beach House can do in 5 minutes what most great albums take hours to do.
