The Beatles recorded the song on 15 February 1965, in 1 take, with 10 edits of a George Harrison guitar "flourish" which was not used.[3] The master take was take 1 with a guitar solo overdub by McCartney on February 16. It was remixed on 18 February and 23 February.
This is one of the first Beatle songs in which McCartney plays lead guitar, in addition to his usual bass.
Another Girl
Beatles Lyrics

You're making me say that I've got nobody but you
But as from today well I've got somebody that's new
I ain't no fool and I don't take what I don't want
For I have got another girl, another girl
She's sweeter than all the girls and I've met quite a few
Nobody in all the world can do what she can do
For I have got another girl
Another girl who will love me till the end
Through thick and thin she will always be my friend
I don't want to say that I've been unhappy with you
But as from today, well I've seen somebody that's new
I ain't no fool and I don't take what I don't want
For I have got another girl
Another girl who will love me till the end
Through thick and thin she will always be my friend
For I have got another girl
Another girl who will love me till the end
Through thick and thin she will always be my friend
For I have got another girl
In "Another Girl," the Beatles are singing about a new girl they have met and fallen for, despite being committed to another girl. The lyrics suggest that the singer is unhappy in his current relationship and has found someone who is "sweeter" and better suited for him. He is straightforward in saying that he doesn't want to be with someone he doesn't want, implying that his previous relationship lacked the passion and excitement he has found with the new girl. Throughout the song, he emphasizes the loyalty and friendship he has found in the new girl, indicating that their relationship is more fulfilling and lasting than his previous one.
The song was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney and released in 1965 on the album "Help!" The Beatles were known for their catchy melodies and playful lyrics, but "Another Girl" is one of their lesser-known songs that explores the complexities of romantic relationships. The song features a rock and roll rhythm with steady drumming and guitar riffs that emphasize the singer's confidence in his decision to move on. The chorus is catchy and repetitive, with the line "For I have got another girl" serving as a refrain that drives the song's message home.
