Falling
Beauty's Confusion Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Sometimes I feel like
Poetic words are just a waste of lines
And never sung for me
Sometimes I feel like
Poetic words are made to hide behind
This dim reality

I feel
Like the world is against me
Every time I
Look to the sky I
Feel so lost
And I don't know
Where I'm meant to go
Can't someone give me a clue
Show me the road that leads to you, oh

Sometimes I feel like
Poetic words are just a waste of lines
And never sung for me
Sometimes I feel like
Poetic words are made to hide behind
This dim reality

And I don't know
Where I'm meant to go
Won't someone give me a clue
Show me the road that leads to you

Sometimes I feel like
Poetic words are just a waste of lines
And never sung for me
Sometimes I feel like

Poetic words are made to hide behind
This dim reality

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Beauty's Confusion's "Falling" seem to focus on feeling lost and seeking direction in life. The first verse expresses a sense of frustration with poetic words, suggesting that they are sometimes used to conceal rather than reveal, leaving the singer feeling disconnected from the lyricism. This is further emphasized in the repetition of the lines "Sometimes I feel like / Poetic words are just a waste of lines / And never sung for me" in the chorus. The second verse continues this theme of feeling lost, with the singer searching for a sense of purpose or direction, something to lead them to a better understanding of themselves and the world around them.

The repeated refrain of "And I don't know / Where I'm meant to go" captures this sense of aimlessness and uncertainty, while the plea for someone to "Show me the road that leads to you" suggests that the singer is looking for some kind of external guidance or validation. Ultimately, though, the song seems to recognize that the answers and direction the singer is seeking can only come from within, as they are the only ones who can truly understand their own hopes, fears, and desires.

Overall, "Falling" is a poignant and relatable exploration of feeling lost and searching for direction, from a perspective that emphasizes the importance of looking within rather than relying solely on external factors to find one's path in life.

Attn: all Beauty's Confusion fans-- there is a Russian artist named PAMF who released an album in 2013 entitled Квартала квадраты -- they stole this song from us. As anyone who has ever followed us knows... we released this album in 2004. We wrote "Falling" entirely ourselves, and released this album independently on CD-R before digitally distributing it in 2004 through CDbaby.com (thus, itunes, Amazon, and other worldwide distributors). I disputed the claim but there is a chance if I lose, that Youtube will shut my channel down. Sure hope that's not the case. Just wanted to let all of you know. Thanks so much. -Chris
