Norman was originally involved in Young Life Ministries and gained a considerable fan base by performing at the summer camps there. This has drawn parallels to musician Matt Wertz and producer Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, Amy Grant), both who gained fame through their involvement with Young Life. Upon releasing Big Blue Sky, his third album, Norman included a slip asking for donations to the organization. His song "Walk Down This Mountain" is about an experience at Young Life's Wilderness Ranch.
Norman released Between the Dreaming and the Coming True in September 2006. The tour in support of this album featured Christian music newcomers Aaron Shust and Brandon Heath. Norman is a graduate of Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina. His song, "To Find My Way To You" was used on various promos for the CBS sitcom, The Class.
Bebo's single called "Britney" is written to Britney Spears, and is featured on Norman's ninth studio self-titled album. Recently (2007–2008) Bebo has appeared with several notable Christian artists on tour as they present Andrew Peterson's "Behold the Lamb" concerts during the Christmas season.
Bebo Norman's new album, "Ocean", released on September 28, 2010. It's a personal album, according to Norman, that covers the discovery of his true identity and the battle between fear and faith. The singer/songwriter told CBN.com that he hopes "Ocean" causes listeners to "look internally… at where they draw their own identity from. It’s worth wrestling with who we are, where we draw our value from, and where we draw our life from and .... refocusing on the source of whatever season of life we are in rather than focusing on the season itself."

These frozen fields, all here at Selwood Farm
This swollen love reminds me of
Your spilling soul that somehow always fills me up
Every word is true
Gathered hearts are here just to sing their soul to you
And every word is true
At Selwood Farm
I see the sisters smiling
I see the light upon their face
Here is the promise that fills this place
There is an edge of winter
But there is fire that keeps us warm
This is the harvest at Selwood Farm
Every word is true
Gathered hearts are here just to sing their soul to you
And every word is true
I'm happy when I'm here with you, oh with you
At Selwood Farm
And these are the sons and daughters
They turn in the leaves then come inside
I welcome the healing of all my pride
And this is a day worth keeping
This is a day worth dwelling on
This is the day at Selwood Farm
And I don't know why, but my heart just smiles
And I know that each day we're growing older
But I still know the way
So take me to the day
Take me to the day
At Selwood Farm
Selwood Farm
The lyrics of Bebo Norman's song Selwood Farm describe a place filled with love and warmth during the harvest season. The singer describes the frozen fields that surround Selwood Farm, but despite the cold, the open arms and spilling souls of the people who gather there fill him up. The singer finds himself happy and at peace when he is at Selwood Farm with the gathered hearts who sing their souls to the place. The sisters smile and he sees the light on their faces while making promises to the gathered hearts. Though the winter lingers, the singer finds warmth in the fire that keeps them together for a harvest at Selwood Farm.
The song also touches on the idea of growth and healing. The sons and daughters are described as turning in the leaves before coming inside, indicating a time of growth and change. The singer welcomes the healing of his pride and finds that the day spent at Selwood Farm is worth dwelling upon. Although he acknowledges that time is passing and they are growing older, his heart still smiles when he thinks about the place, and he knows the way back to Selwood Farm.
In short, Selwood Farm is a place of love and warmth, healing and growth, where gathered hearts come to sing their souls and make promises during the harvest. It represents a sense of home and belonging and a reminder of the things that are truly important in life.

Selwood Farm is one of the reasons I really enjoy Bebo. Tis a sad thing that he decided to retire from recording. Tis a good thing that we still have many of his works on Youtube.
