Lost Cause
Beck Lyrics
Your sorry eyes, they cut through bone
They make it hard to leave you alone
Leave you here wearing your wounds
Waving your guns at somebody new
Baby, you're lost
Baby, you're lost
Baby, you're a lost cause
There's too many people you used to know
They know your secrets and you know theirs
This town is crazy, nobody cares
Baby, you're lost
Baby, you're lost
Baby, you're a lost cause
I'm tired of fighting
I'm tired of fighting
Fighting for a lost cause
There's a place where you are going
You ain't never been before
No one laughing at your back now
No one standing at your door
That's what you thought love was for
Baby, you're lost
Baby, you're lost
Baby, you're a lost cause
I'm tired of fighting
I'm tired of fighting
Fighting for a lost cause

when i was a teenager, probably 15 or 16, i was going through a really hard time and felt very lost and worthless. My dad played this song for me and we drove around for a while and just cried together. This week, i drove up to his hometown and listened to this on repeat in his car. I love you, Dad

This is the song to play when you're tired of suffering and ready to try to pick up the pieces, and move on...I've reached that point.

I'm there now...with kids, dogs, cats, and my house will all be gone. This sucks. I've never been so low. I hope this makes her happy...

After being heartbroken and not a chance to meet somebody during lockdown, and sucking at parties. Your comment hit me In the feels. I carried a guilt that didn't belong to me and for a narcissist girl that didn't loved me back. After taking ayahuasca a few months ago I finally got my things together.
But let's be real. Spotify suggestions had brought me here after being on a constant loophole with nutshell by Alice in chains after one of my best friend's passing away due to an accident a week ago. This has been an emotional toll on everyone that knew him closely. Sparring and drawing had been my anchor for keep on living. But yes. I am picking up the pieces and being sober for almost four months. There's no way out but fighting our way back into the light. I am still trying.
