Sexx Laws
Beck Lyrics
Can't you hear those cavalry drums
Hijacking your equilibrium
Midnight hags in the mausoleum
Where the pixilated doctors moan
Carnivores in the Kowloon night
Breathing freon by the candlelight
Coquettes bitch slap you so polite
Till you thank them for the tea and sympathy
I want to defy
Let the handcuffs slip off your wrists
I'll let you be my chaperon
At the halfway home
I'm a full grown man
But I'm not afraid to cry
Neptune's lips taste like fermented wine
Perfumed blokes on the Ginza line
Running buck wild like a concubine
Who's mother never held her hand
Brief encounters in Mercedes Benz
Wearing hepatitis contact lens
Bed and breakfast getaway weekends
With Sports Illustrated moms
I want to defy
The logic of all sex laws
Let the handcuffs slip off your wrists
I'll let you be my chaperon
At the halfway home
I'm a full grown man
But I'm not afraid to cry
I want to defy
The logic of all sex laws
Let the handcuffs slip off your wrists
I'll let you be my chaperon
At the halfway home
I'm a full grown man
But I'm not afraid to cry

Sexx Laws is a song by Beck, from the 1999 album Midnite Vultures. It was released as the lead single from the album in October 1999. Musically, the song is an unusual combination of brassy funk with bluegrass-styled banjo and pedal steel guitar on the choruses and instrumental break.
The music videos, directed by Beck himself, are partly a tribute to the film Mr. Freedom. Jack Black appears in the music video as a member of the Vision Warrior Men's Circle, along with Neil Strauss and Justin Meldal-Johnsen. The music videos, directed by Beck himself, are partly a tribute to the film Mr. Freedom. Jack Black appears in the music video as a member of the Vision Warrior Men's Circle, along with Neil Strauss and Justin Meldal-Johnsen. Surreal elements of the video include a refrigerator dry humping an oven, Kenny (played by Justin Meldal-Johnsen) in a room of football players, and a spinning mannequin of a zebra with a banjo.
There are several versions of the video. The original (once posted on Beck's website) was over 18 minutes long and extended the intro of the Men's Circle. The subsequent versions edited out the beginning and end, including truncating a pep rally speech by Jack Black's character.
The song was featured in the Futurama episode Bendin' in the Wind, in which Beck was a guest voice (as himself).
The song appears during the ending credits for the final episode of television show Strangers With Candy.
The song is the opening theme of television series Less Than Perfect.
The song also appears in the 2014 advertising campaign for the Renault Twingo.

Ele LaEffe
His latest album is one of the best I have ever listened to. It reminds me of Pink Floyd, of the 80s and 90s combined, it’s such a flow… masterpiece.
Before that one, Morning Phase was my favourite. But Colors is okay, not bad at all. Just different
Gencoil
I tried liking Colors and Hyperspace but a lot of it is just too poppy for me. I like indie rock Beck the most.
