They are also previously known as "The Angel's Share".

Billy Boyd is also known as the actor who played Peregrin 'Pippin' Took in the Lord of The Rings trilogy movie and wrote the end credits song for The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies in collaboration with Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh, and Philippa Boyens.

"The recipe for Beecake was created over a bottle of malt whiskey in a bar in Glasgow. When four friends got together with three guitars and a box and remembered how much they liked to play music together. Some time later...here we are...Beecake."

They have released an LP titled "Just B" and an album titled "Soul Swimming". Their latest release is the album "The World Of Things."
