Future Mind
Believer Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Escaping from life's tragedy
Learning through another's mind
To catch a glimpse beyond the skies
Mental rush of abstract pain
Never asking what's to gain
Never lost in splintered eyes
Return to me, I'll return to you
I will not change, to justify you
Living proof of what must be
Broken from the misery
Never lost in present time
Always seeking future mind
Return to me, I'll return to you
I will not change, to justify you
In Believer's song Future Mind, the lyrics talk about living proof of what can be and escaping from life's tragedy. The song questions what the person is gaining or losing by experiencing abstract pain and focuses on what is inward. The lyrics suggest that the singer is learning through another's mind to catch a glimpse beyond the sky, which could mean the singer is gaining insight and knowledge from others to look beyond their current state of being.
The chorus talks about returning and not changing to justify someone else. This suggests that the singer is not willing to change their beliefs or values to please someone else. The lyrics also imply that the singer is broken from misery and always seeking a future mind, meaning they always strive for betterment and improvement.
