In 2005, drummer Joey Daub and guitarist/vocalist Kurt Bachman began to write again. They eventually reformed Believer with new members Jeff King, Elton Nestler and Kevin Leaman. "Gabriel", was released March 17, 2009 on Howard Jones' (of Killswitch Engage) Cesspool Recordings imprint on Metal Blade Records. Their newest albums entitled "Transhuman" was released in 2011, featuring a less thrashy and more avant-garde style.
Joey Daub and Jeff King also play in progressive/gothic metal band Fountain Of Tears.
Stress
Believer Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
What good does it do?
Will it add a single day
To your life?
Panic - no more
Worry - about what?
Stressing - no need
Constant troubles of your mind
Past, present, future time
Problems building up inside
Leave it all behind
Rid yourself of needless tension
Lay your burdens on the Lord
He will give you the strength you need
If you'll believe His Word
The lyrics of "Stress" by Believers are a heartfelt message that encourages listeners to trust in the Lord and not to worry about the difficulties of life. The song starts with a rhetorical question that speaks to the futility of worrying; it asks, "What's the use of worrying? What good does it do? Will it add a single day to your life?" The lyrics then go on to say that there is no need to panic or stress when you have the Lord. The constant troubles of your mind from past, present, and future should be left behind. The song assures listeners that if they lay their burdens on the Lord, they will find the strength they need to overcome their problems.
The verse "Rid yourself of needless tension, lay your burdens on the Lord" is an essential message that one should strive to follow. Sometimes, life can be challenging, and we tend to carry all our issues without knowing who to turn to. But taking the message of the song can help to release some of the pressure that comes with stress. Additionally, the song encourages listeners to have faith in themselves by believing in the word of the Lord. The lyrics do this by speaking to the listener's belief system to find solutions to problems that may seem insurmountable.
