Quien
Belinda; Kumbia Kings Lyrics

(Both)
(PeeWee)
Quien les regresa la alegria
Que se aleja cada dÃa dime porfavor
(Both)
Si seras tu o sere yo
(Belinda)
Quien prendera la lamparita por la noche
Para hacerles saber
Que el monstro ya se fue
Quien les dira
Que cuando crescan
Podran ser princesa o superman
Quien los vera crecer
(PeeWee)
Quien va decirles que mamá debió quedarse
Que papá debió afrontar la realidad
Que esa calle donde pasan
Cada fria madrugada es su hogar
[Chorus x 2]
(PeeWee)
Si seras tu o sere yo
Si seras tu o sere yo
The song "Quien" by Kumbia Kings is a heartfelt ballad about the struggles of children who grow up on the streets, exposed to poverty, neglect, and violence. The song addresses the lack of love, care, and attention that these children face every day, and the responsibility of the society to acknowledge their suffering and provide them with a better future. PeeWee and Belinda sing about the questions that linger in their minds: who will give these children a caress in the morning, a kiss to wake up, and an embrace? Who will tell them that breakfast is on the table, that they are already late and have to study? Who will let them know that it is not their fault that they are so lonely, hungry, and cold? Who will heal their wounds, promise them a brighter world, and bring back their happiness?
The lyrics of "Quien" are a poignant call for empathy and action, urging the listeners to open their eyes to the suffering of vulnerable children and to do something to support them. The song portrays a reality that is often ignored or overlooked, but that affects millions of children around the world. By highlighting the voices and experiences of the children themselves, the song adds a human touch to a complex social problem, and sends a message of hope and solidarity.
