In March 10, 2007, co-founder Gopal Metro left the band, and vocalist Andy Deane announced Tony Pugh as his replacement. Bella Morte's 2011 lineup included Andy Deane on vocals, Tony Lechmanski on guitar, Marshall Camden on bass, and Branden Shores on drums.
Having been signed to Metropolis Records from 2002-2014, Bella Morte also released albums through their own label, Some Wear Leather, and Cleopatra Records. In 2006, Bella Morte's album "Bleed the Grey Sky Black" reached number one on the Metropolis Records Preorder sales list.
On July 25, 2023, after the death of guitarist Tony Lechmanski, Andy Deane announced that Bella Morte had played their final show on March 31, 2023, at Dark Force Fest in New Jersey. Andy continued his musical journey as a solo artist under The Rain Within.

Here With Me
Bella Morte Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Once more hear me cry
Please don't close your eyes
Please don't close your eyes
All alone watching an angel die
Her wings are torn away
And I don't know what is left when heaven melts into the sea
See the lights retire in the eyes of all I've waited for
Once more feel my breath
And once more meet my gaze
Never close your eyes
Never close your eyes
Take my hand and die with me
Don't be scared, you're here with me
You were all, my everything
Take my hand and die with me
The lyrics of Bella Morte's song Here with Me are an emotional plea to a loved one to never leave their side. The opening lines, "Once more take my hand, once more hear me cry, please don't close your eyes," speak to an intense desire for the recipient to stay with the singer, to witness and share in their emotional turmoil. This sense of desperation is heightened by the imagery of an "angel" dying with her "wings torn away" - the idea of a celestial being being brought so low further emphasizes the fragile, fleeting nature of life.
As the song progresses, the sense of loss and darkness only grows stronger. The line "And I don't know what is left when heaven melts into the sea" speaks to a fear of what will happen when all that is good and pure disappears or fades away. The mention of "the eyes of all I've waited for" is particularly poignant, as it implies that the singer has been waiting for someone or something for a long time, only to have it ultimately become lost or destroyed.
