Oaria raio
Oba oba oba
Oaria raio
Oba oba oba
Sai da minha frente
Eu quero passar
Pois o samba esta animado
O que eu quero e sambar
Este samba
Que e misto de maracatu
E samba de preto velho
Samba de preto tu
Mas que nada
Um samba como esse tão legal
Você não vai querer
Que eu chegue no final
Oaria raio
Oba oba oba
Oaria raio
Oba oba oba
Mas que nada
Sai da minha frente
Eu quero passar
Pois o samba esta animado
O que eu quero e sambar
Este samba
Que e misto de maracatu
E samba de preto velho
Samba de preto tu
Mas que nada
Um samba como esse tão legal
Você não vai querer
Que eu chegue no final
Oaria raio
Oba oba oba
Oaria raio
Oba oba oba
-Instrumento-
Mas que nada
Sai da minha frente
Eu quero passar
Pois o samba esta animado
O que eu quero e sambar
Este samba
Que e misto de maracatu
E samba de preto velho
Samba de preto tu
Mas que nada
Um samba como esse tão legal
Você não vai querer
Que eu chegue no final

ellini's song Mas Que Nada incorporates a mix of Portuguese lyrics with the sounds of samba and maracatu drumming. The lyrics are a plea to let the singer pass by, as he wishes to dance and enjoy the lively samba beats. The song opens with the chorus lines "Oaria raio, Oba oba oba," and then introduces the lyrics "Mas que nada, Sai da minha frente" (But, no way, get out of my way) to express the singer's enthusiasm for moving to the music. The lyrics then describe the mix of samba and maracatu drumming that makes the music so lively and enjoyable. The song ends with the repeated refrain of the chorus lines and a final instrumental section.
The song is known for its upbeat and catchy rhythm, which has become a staple of Brazilian music. It has been covered by numerous artists, including Sergio Mendes, who had a hit with the song in 1966. The lyrics of Mas Que Nada have become an anthem for dancing and letting loose, and the song has been featured in movies, TV shows, and advertisements. The song also showcases the Afro-Brazilian roots of samba music, as it incorporates the rhythms of maracatu, which is a traditional drumming style that originated in the northeast region of Brazil.
