That was back in 2007, and a lot has changed since then. Economies collapsed, house prices plummeted, jobs were lost and for some, record companies came and went. Second time around, Jamie’s new album ‘Battling Giants’ will be released on his own label, Flat Cap Records, in May 2009.
“I didn’t know it when I wrote it, but Battling Giants became the most relevant song on the new record. It now reflects where I am, making my own record the way I always wanted to – with amazing people I admire – and putting it out on my own label. I’m going my own way. Like a lot of people in the world, I’m facing a 2009 which poses as many questions as answers – with so much change in the music business and the world in general. But I’m also strangely happy and excited about it – and what’s more I just know I’m doing the right thing.” He muses, “We’re all battling giants now, and I can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Find Me An Angel
Ben's Brother Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Thinking of a love gone
Wondering why it went wrong
Over again
You didn't really know me
And it feels like you owe me
But I guess at least you showed me
'Cos I've been knocked out, found out
About time that it turned around
'Cos I've got to find the one thing
That will get me over you, so
One day, you've gotta find me an angel
Someone to save me
Someone to put me back together again
One day, you've got to send me an angel
'Cos I'm back at the beginning
But I'm holding out for more this time
I'm tired of being lonely
I'm getting to it slowly
But I'm running out of patience
Running out of strength
There's got to be a reason
For everything I'm feeling
But I think I've learned my lesson
I'm never doing it again
'Cos I've been knocked out, found out
About time that it turned around
'Cos I've got to find the one thing
That will get me over you, so
One day, you've gotta find me an angel
Someone to save me
Someone to put me back together again
One day, you've got to send me an angel
'Cos I'm back at the beginning
But I'm holding out for more this time
I'm not unbreakable
But what I'm trying to say
Is I don't think I am capable
Of doing this alone so
One day, you've gotta find me an angel
Someone to save me
Someone to put me back together again
One day, you've got to send me an angel
'Cos I'm back at the beginning
But I'm holding out for more this time
The song "Find Me An Angel" by Ben's Brother is about the struggles of moving on from a failed relationship. The lyrics describe the feeling of being alone and the search for someone to help mend a broken heart. The first verse portrays the person's thoughts about the love that has gone wrong and how they wonder why it ended that way. The chorus reflects the hope that someday, someone will come to save them, put them back together and help them start again.
The second verse shows the resolution to never make the same mistakes again, but the fear of being alone is causing the person's patience and strength to run out. The bridge emphasizes that while the person is not unbreakable, they still believe that they cannot do this alone, hence the plea to find an angel.
Overall, the song is a vulnerable admission of needing someone to help heal and move forward from heartbreak. It highlights the importance of having a support system, and the struggle of being alone.
