I first heard this album forty years ago, now I still return to this music with the same passion and still enchanted

Clifford Estensen

This is most definitely my cup of tea, not everyone’s, but mine, and to me it’s the best peace of music in the entire world.

John Barrett

No square edges in Ben's tone, everything sounds round and fat and Art sounds just as good accompanying as soloing. Amazing.

Phil Pryor

A few strides beyond incomparable, this is something to cherish, as I do; I heard them on the 31 meter band, Voice of America, Willis Conover, in 1957, on my short wave radio, and when I heard "my one and only love", It set on a path to playing tenor sax, travelling, jazz, philosophy, history, literature, sociology, all to grow into an educated adult life, with love in the core. Today, I've never heard lovelier music, from Bach and Bizet, to Satch and Bird, Duke, Miles, because Art alone had a touch and mind beyond comprehension, while Ben's beauty of tone and touch sang sweetly. I'll start again, tomorrow, with a smile, grateful.

Ben was a mellow man - and he is missed.

Thanks to this song, I have been able to experience moments of pure joy during the last 65 days in lockdown in California. Thank you for posting this beautiful song. Used it have this album in vinyl many years ago.

This is so relaxing

Joe Carbery

Lovely to hear this played as a ballad. It was written by Jerome Kern as such, but is usually playe up-tempo as a means of demonstrating the players' harmonic knowledge.
