Mal Incurable
Bengala Lyrics

Tengo un mal incurable
Y no hay nada que hacer
Y no hay que pretender
Que el cielo es bueno y
Escucha mi voz
Hoy me he enterado que
Y no hay nada que hacer
Y no hay que pretender
Que el cielo es bueno y
Escucha mi voz
Y al final soltar
Y al final soltar
Y al final soltar
Y al final soltar
The lyrics to Bengala's song "Mal Incurable" speak to the idea of accepting and coming to terms with a difficult reality. The singer has just learned that they have an incurable illness, and they acknowledge that there is nothing to be done to change this fact. The repetition of the line "Y no hay nada que hacer" reinforces this sense of helplessness and finality. However, there is also a faint glimmer of hope in the line "Que el cielo es bueno y escucha mi voz," implying that perhaps there is some comfort to be found in faith or spirituality.
The repeated line "Y al final soltar" is particularly poignant, as it could be interpreted in a few different ways. "Soltar" can mean "to let go" or "to release," so it could be read as a reminder to the singer to let go of their fears or worries about the future. Alternatively, it could be seen as a plea to those around them to let go and accept the situation as well. The repetition of this line reflects a sense of resignation or acceptance that runs throughout the song.
Overall, "Mal Incurable" is a powerful meditation on mortality and the human condition. It speaks to the universal experience of facing difficult news or circumstances, and urges listeners to find a way to come to terms with these challenges and find peace.
