Quase sem história pra contar
Você criança tão liberta me tire dessa peça
E assim ter história pra contar
Estrela que brilha em meu peito e me leva pro céu
Em cantos cantigas canções de ninar
No charme do sol pra me despertar
Estrela que brilha em meu peito e me leva pro céu
Em cantos cantigas canções de ninar
Me deixa no galho no galho da lua
No charme do sol pra me despertar
Vem amigo nadar nos rios
Vem amigo plantar mais lirios
No vale no mato e no mundo vamos brincar
Vem amigo nadar nos rios
Vem amigo plantar mais lirios
No vale no mato e no mundo vamos brincar
Criança presa brinquedos de trapaças
Quase sem história pra contar
Você criança tão liberta me tire dessa peça
E assim ter história pra contar
Estrela que brilha em meu peito e me leva pro céu
Em cantos cantigas canções de ninar
Me deixa no galho no galho da lua
No charme do sol pra me despertar
Estrela que brilha em meu peito e me leva pro céu
Em cantos cantigas canções de ninar
Me deixa no galho no galho da lua
No charme do sol pra me despertar

Vem amigo plantar mais lirios

In "Amigo do sol amigo da lua," Benito Di Paula explores the theme of childhood innocence and freedom. The song is addressed to a child who seems trapped in a world of deceitful toys and lacking in personal experiences to share. The singer asks this liberated child to help him escape from this deceptive game and thus have his own stories to tell.
The lyrics also metaphorically compare the child's influence to a shining star that illuminates the singer's heart and takes him to celestial realms. The star's melodies and lullabies are soothing, while the reference to the moon and the sun represents the contrast between night and day, slumber and awakening. The singer pleads to be left on the branch of the moon and in the charm of the sun to be awakened to his own potential and purpose.
Furthermore, the song encourages friendship and playfulness. The singer invites his friend to swim in rivers and plant lilies, emphasizing the idea of enjoying nature and the world together. The song suggests that through friendship and shared experiences, both adults and children can find joy and meaning in their lives.
Overall, "Amigo do sol amigo da lua" celebrates the purity of childhood, the power of friendship, and the importance of personal experiences in shaping one's narrative.
