I remember hearing these two for the first time. I was blown away by the harmonies - the Berliner Philharmoniker don't feel like supporting the Scorpions, but incorporating them into the orchestra. And this says so much about the modesty of the band - taking a step back to allow the classical musicians to do their magic is something few other rock musicians would do. It can't be seen with Metallica and definitely with Yngwie Malmsteen.

The album this song is off of is my favorite Scorpions album - the combination of metal and orchestra is just wonderful!

IMO these 2 pieces are the purest, best synthesis of metal and orchestral music yet. leagues ahead of anything on S&M (edit: also more epic than therion)
