Trombonology Erstwhile

A superb arrangement -- those muted trumpets are beautiful!

Thank you, Andy, I've been looking for this one for some time. A beautifully played and directed performance. Immaculate, as Ambrose always was.
I wonder who the celeste player was?

David

Thank you for uploading and sharing this great music.

Luis Mántaras

This Scott's original is performing like a symphonic partiture. It laks the wild side of Scott's small band arr. going back and forth from arrangement and... arranged solos! He was unique. I prefer your previous Ambrose upload by far.

Basil Peewit

The arrangement is, I believe, a faithful copy of Hal Kemp's original.

@Brian Pinches For quintet, yes, for full band it was Kemp.

Brian Pinches

i thought the Raymond Scott Quintet did this originally..

Nostalgic Memories

Think I prefer that version, this is a bit tame by comparison.

rupert powell

I remember this from my childhood on the radiogram, but did Scott base it on a classic?
