In the depths of the grave, a battle was waged between life and death.

The war on death was waged
The victory over death was fought in that same grave.

The power of hell forever broken
The power and grip of hell over humanity was forever broken by the Savior's triumph.

The ground began to shake
The very earth was moved by the magnitude of what had happened.

The stone was rolled away
The tomb was opened as the seal of death was broken.

Even death was no match for the immense and perfect love of God.

Now death, where is your sting?
Death has lost its power and sting in the face of the resurrected King.

Our resurrected King
The one who had died was now alive again, a true King.

The once powerful foe of death had now been utterly defeated.

The resurrected King now receives eternal glory.

The one who showed us the true meaning of love will be lifted up for all time.

A joyful noise of singing and celebration can be heard.

The word of praise, 'hallelujah', is lifted up in honor.
