Lost Without You

Thinking of myself
Were filled with days of emptiness
And room for no one else
I found a haven in isolation
With nothing to lose
Safe and lonely thinking of only
What I had to prove
I was lost without you
Like being frozen in time
Disillusioned with life
Until I knew
I found myself in you
I remember being afraid
Of my destiny
Fear of change or losing my way
And my identity
Then something bigger just took over
And it happened so fast
Lying here, my head on your shoulder
Reliving the past
I was lost without you
I was lost without you
Like being frozen in time
Disillusioned with life
Until I knew
I found myself in you
I found myself in you
And all the love I needed to give
Finally found a home
You've given me a reason to live
Can't go back
Don't let go
I was lost without you
Lost without you
Like being frozen in time
Going out of my mind
Until I knew
I was lost without you
Lost without you
Like being frozen in time
Disillusioned with life
Until I knew
I found myself in you
I found myself in you
The song “Lost Without You” by Beverly Craven speaks about a person’s struggles with isolation and loneliness, and how it takes the right person to bring them back to happiness. The lyrics suggest that the singer went through years of living alone, only thinking about themselves and feeling empty. They found comfort in that lifestyle, but were ultimately unfulfilled due to their lack of connections with others. It wasn’t until they met someone special that they finally found joy and purpose in life.
The chorus of the song repeats “I was lost without you” which serves as a powerful reminder of how transformative a relationship can be. The person describing their journey in the lyrics was stuck in a negative mindset until they met the right person who changed everything. The line “And all the love I needed to give/Finally found a home” is particularly telling in describing how the singer was ready to give love but had no one to give it to until they met their partner.
