Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Beyoncé began performing in local competitions at age 7, eventually forming the group Girl's Tyme in 1990 with help from her parents. Girl's Tyme became Destiny's Child in 1997.
During the hiatus of Destiny's Child in 2003, Beyoncé released her debut solo album, Dangerously in Love, which became one of the most successful albums of that year, and signaled her viability as a solo artist. The disbanding of Destiny's Child in 2005 facilitated her continued success: her sophomore solo album B'Day, released in 2006, debuted at number one on the Billboard charts. Her third solo album, I Am… Sasha Fierce, was released in November 2008, and in 2009 she received 10 Grammy Awards nominations. On January 31, 2010, she won 6 Grammy Awards, breaking the record for most Grammy awards won by a female artist in one night; she previously held the record of five awards with 5 other artists. Following a career hiatus, Beyoncé released her fourth studio album entitled "4" on June 24, 2011, which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200.

The album has a list of collaborators including Drake, Frank Ocean and her husband, Jay-Z, and daughter, Blue Ivy.

The track, "Die With You" is a stripped down ballad, with Beyoncé sitting at a piano with pigtail braids: the song celebrates the seventh anniversary of her marriage to Jay-Z.

Beyoncé appeared on stage to perform her latest single "Formation", supporting the headline act Coldplay at the much coverted Super Bowl 50 half-time show on February 7, 2016. Also appearing on stage was Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson who performed their hit "Uptown Funk".

Better wake up because you're part of something way bigger
You're part of something way bigger
Not just a speck in the universe
Not just some words in a bible verse
You are the living word
Ahh, you're part of something way bigger
Bigger than you, bigger than we
But now we see it
And it ain't no secret, no
Understand the truth 'bout that question in your soul
Look up, don't look down, then watch the answers unfold
Life is your birthright, they hid that in the fine print
Uh, take the pen and rewrite it
Step out your estimate
Step in your essence and know that you're excellent
Rise (rise), the spirit is teachin'
Oh, I'm not just preachin', I'm takin' my own advice
Let mama let you know (let you know)
Mama's just tryin', I can't get no days off
I don't get no days off
Truly, I'm feelin' it, I had to say that thing twice
Tryin' to be a good wife
Still really hard, I can't lie
But I promised you I will fight, so I fight
If you feelin' frustrated and (oh)
You're sinkin', I'm jumpin' in (oh)
Forgiveness is key because we're fightin' something way bigger
You'll never lose, we are winners
I'll be the roots, you be the tree
Pass on the fruit that was given to me
Legacy, ah, we're part of something way bigger
Bigger, you're part of something way bigger
Bigger than you, bigger than we
Bigger than the picture they framed us to see
Legacy, oh, you're part of something way bigger
Let love be the water
I pour into you and you pour into me
There ain't no drought here
Bloom into our actual powers
I'll be your sanctuary, you just don't know it yet
You just don't know it yet
No matter how hard it gets
You got my blood in ya
And you're gonna rise
You're part of something way bigger
You're part of something way bigger
Bigger than you, bigger than me
Bigger than the picture they framed us to be, yeah
Ooh, ooh, you're part of something way bigger
Understand the truth 'bout that question in your soul (bigger)
Look up, don't look down, then watch the answers unfold (bigger)
Life is your birthright, they hid that in the fine print
Take the pen and rewrite it
Step out your estimate
Step in your essence and know that you're excellent
Rise, the spirit is teachin'
Oh, I'm not just preachin', I'm takin' my own advice
If you feel insignificant, you better think again
Better wake up 'cause you're part of something way bigger
You're part of something way bigger
I'll be the roots, you be the tree
Pass on the fruit that was given to me
Legacy, ah, we're part of something way bigger
In the song "BIGGER," Beyoncé encourages listeners to recognize their significance as an individual in the grand scheme of things. She urges them to wake up and realize that they are part of something much larger than themselves, and not just "a speck in the universe." She highlights that the picture they have been framed to see is not the whole truth, and they need to understand the truth about the question in their soul. Beyoncé stresses that life is their birthright, and regardless of what is written in small print, they need to take the pen and rewrite their own story, step out of estimates, and step into their essence. The spirit is teaching them that they are excellent, and they are part of something way bigger.
Beyoncé emphasizes the importance of legacy, speaks of roots, and the fruits that will be passed on. She highlights that love will be the water that will pour into them and they will pour into others to bloom into their actual powers. She reminds listeners that no matter how hard it gets, and even if they feel frustrated and insignificant, they should let forgiveness be the key because they are fighting something way bigger. They are part of something way bigger than themselves, bigger than the picture that has been framed for them to see.

Literally rocked my 5 year old while he slept, while playing this song. Truly focusing on the words and the strength motherhood pours into our children. It is real. In my truest opinion Beyonce is a Queen because she's stepped into her full power as a woman. I am too, and there are so many others out there answering their personal call; both Male and Female-
I feel compelled to say this: If you see it, feel it, notice it then it is your responsibility to end generational trauma in your familial ties. That's the call. You're awake, so go and change that shit. <3
The album cover itself is super symbolic and powerful. Like the serpent biting its own tale (Started to correct "Tale" to "Tail" but honestly, in the case of symbolism; TALE vibes so much better with the message) - it represents the balances of life itself. See how the vibrant lion bites the tail of the dead lion? Rebirth, regeneration, restoration, resurrection, life force, constant flow, abundance, and STRONG foundation coming from past lessons, ancestral strength, familial ties.. If that shit is weakened by trauma WHAT ARE YOU STANDING ON?. We feed on our past babes. Ooooh this shit got me!! <3<3<3 Energy cannot be created or destroyed my love so where does your energy come from? Is it focused, is it clear, is it hanging onto things that must be left to die in order to propel you and yours forward into new grounds? Restore your foundation baby, you deserve it and your legacy does too!

It still astonishes me how Beyonce has never won Grammys album of the year. She is without a doubt unmatched by anyone in that industry yet they clearly purposefully never choose her. But I guess as this song says... we’re part of something way bigger...
