Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Beyoncé began performing in local competitions at age 7, eventually forming the group Girl's Tyme in 1990 with help from her parents. Girl's Tyme became Destiny's Child in 1997.
During the hiatus of Destiny's Child in 2003, Beyoncé released her debut solo album, Dangerously in Love, which became one of the most successful albums of that year, and signaled her viability as a solo artist. The disbanding of Destiny's Child in 2005 facilitated her continued success: her sophomore solo album B'Day, released in 2006, debuted at number one on the Billboard charts. Her third solo album, I Am… Sasha Fierce, was released in November 2008, and in 2009 she received 10 Grammy Awards nominations. On January 31, 2010, she won 6 Grammy Awards, breaking the record for most Grammy awards won by a female artist in one night; she previously held the record of five awards with 5 other artists. Following a career hiatus, Beyoncé released her fourth studio album entitled "4" on June 24, 2011, which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200.
2013 - 5th Album - "Beyoncé"
On December 12, 2013, Beyoncé unexpectedly released her fifth and self-titled album in the iTunes Store. Beyoncé called it a "visual album" as it includes 14 songs and 18 videos - with each track having a music video together with additional bonus videos. The album has a list of collaborators including Drake, Frank Ocean and her husband, Jay-Z, and daughter, Blue Ivy.

According to a press release from Tidal which accompanied the release, "Lemonade" is “based on every woman’s journey of self-knowledge and healing”.
2017 - Grammy Awards
At the 59th Grammy Awards on Sun, February 12, 2017, Beyoncé took awards for "Best Urban Contemporary Album" for "Lemonade" and "Best Music Video" for "Formation"
2022 - 7th Album - "RENAISSANCE" (ACT i)
After a 6 year hiatus from music, Beyoncé announced the lead single "BREAK MY SOUL" on June 20, 2022, for her seventh studio album “RENAISSANCE" which is the first installment of a three-part project. "RENAISSANCE" was released on July 29, 2022, and was recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic, seeking to inspire joy in listeners. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It became the best-rated album of 2022, named the best album of the year by publications such as the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, NPR, Pitchfork, and Rolling Stone, which would later place the record at number 71 on their 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list. It then was nominated for Album of The Year at the 65 Annual Grammy Award Show and won Best Dance/Electronic Album.
2024 - 8th Album - "COWBOY CARTER" (ACT ii)
2 years after her seventh studio album, "RENAISSANCE", Beyoncé released her eighth studio album "COWBOY CARTER" also known as “ACT ii” on March 29, 2024. This serves as the second installment of the three-part project, and as long rumoured, its genre is country. The album was teased through a Verizon ad aired during the Super Bowl LVIII and was preceded with two surprise singles both released on February 10, 2024, "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" which hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and "16 CARRIAGES". The album broke several streaming records and debuted at number one in several countries globally. "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" became the first country song by a black woman to top the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts, respectively. COWBOY CARTER was met with universal acclaim upon release; critics felt that the album's genre experimentation, expansive scope and eclectic references aided an ambitious reimagining of Americana and country through the lens of its black roots. The album also ignited discussions on Black musicians' place within country music, boosted the listenership of Black country artists and country radio in general, and increased the popularity of Western wear and culture.

Cards Never Lie
Beyoncé Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Death?
(I think you need to re-shuffle them cards) (yeah)
(Don't even trip on those cards, yo)
The cards never lie, my last breath a sigh
And now I think about if it's my time to die
I don't know what I was thinking, steady wasting time with healing
I can't understand how my life changed around
Manifest my destiny, is it the brown underground?
Blue skies are turning gray, it's the point of indecision
Believing in the cards, you must respect the (?) vision (oh)
Girlfriend, get your mind, don't lie
Don't spend your time 'cause you can't waste your time
Everyday like it's your last but you must feel divine
Intervention comes and snatch up all your dreams from behind
Love, you feel it and you got to let them know it
Love, your heart and that's the feeling that you go with
If you have a dream you need to go and let them know it
'Cause you could wake up in the morning and it could be over
No, no, no, no (no)
I don't wanna, I don't wanna, I don't wanna go (go)
Just, just, just let me stay home (no)
Let me live my dreams, let me see another dawn
No, no, no, no (no)
I don't wanna, I don't wanna, I don't wanna go (go)
Just, just, just let me stay home (home)
Let me live my dreams, let me see another dawn
Carmen, don't listen 'cause the cards have deceit
Just slide him the money, we don't need a receipt
Truth only exists within the eyes of the beholder
Plus he's kinda young for fortune telling
Probably should be older
But the cards never lie, I thought I told you
Now it's her time to try, to reach her goals
Before she reaches the light
This is love
It's like I'm trying to throw my life away
Sometimes love is all you got
And other times it makes you pay
Well, when you finally rise
Then you'll realize
The windows to the soul are not the hips but the eyes
Oh, you could wish on the stars but they dead, just a lie
But they shine just as bright as they did their entire life
No, no, no, no
I don't wanna, I don't wanna, I don't wanna go
Just, just, just let me stay home
Just let me live my dreams, let me see another dawn
No, no, no, no
I don't wanna, I don't wanna, I don't wanna go
Just, just, just let me stay home
Just let me live my dreams, let me see another dawn
The song "Cards Never Lie" by Beyonce featuring Wyclef Jean and Rah Digga is about the value of time and living life to the fullest. The lyrics convey the message that one shouldn't waste time on inconsequential things and should focus on achieving their dreams before it's too late. The opening lines, "The cards never lie, my last breath a sigh, and now I think about if it's my time to die" establish the theme of the song.
The second verse talks about how life can change abruptly and how one should manifest their destiny. The line "Blue skies are turning gray it's the point of indecision/Leaving in the car and much be spent on television" suggests that life can become dull and monotonous if one doesn't take action and make the most of their time. The chorus emphasizes the importance of making the most of life as one never knows when it could be over.
The final verse talks about how truth only exists in the eyes of the beholder and how love can be both rewarding and costly. The line "Sometimes love is all you got/And other times it makes you pay" suggests that love can be a double-edged sword. The song ends with the repetition of the chorus, emphasizing the importance of living one's dreams.

I feel she should have walked away from trying to be a cold hearted opportunists and stop using individuals then she would’ve been spared. She could’ve apologized for everything and if she wanted love, find love with a man that’s not at a club or bar. She ruined a dudes potential marriage, then she played him, and then she tried to get Blaze attention only because she wanted to be signed to a acting agency and book movies or shows. She was extremely fame hungry badly and it drove her into her demise.
Carmen was known I think for seducing married men and men who had women so she already would’ve been met to dark end had she kept that up, that’s a serious dirty game there to date or s3x men who have a woman.
She could have went about pursuing acting in a different way and working hard on her craft without losing faith. She went to a audition for a role that was for a hood ratchet role but standing there acting like she’s Judy Garland, she should’ve never been at that type of audition with her fork of acting. It was dumb.
An extra in films is a good way to start to built up a movie career to make actual connections without sleeping around or ruining men lives or turning tricks. Tbh.
That’s a murky game to play when you’re a type of woman like that, she was a troubled soul & had like a seductress spirit like a jezebel on her. She also was in low class places like clubs or bars seeking out men, the wrong thing to do.
It was extremely vile she died a violent death though. Tarot cards aren’t truly real, and it’s typical new age paganism. She let cards determine her life and then she kept affirming that shit into the atmosphere. She was like a modern millennial today and Gen-Z who’s into the whole paganism movement with their cards, zodiac signs, charts, Wicca, numerology, horoscopes, angel numbers, and witchcraft. They depend on these things out of desperation for answers. All them are delusional souls and then mix it in with the law attraction which they’ve misinterpreted nowadays. None of those paganism practices got her no where.
I felt they should’ve went more into her background way more like her childhood & teenager life. Like what did she do for a living to keep up that little apartment, like I was lost did she ever had a job 😂 or was she like a sex worker on the side?. I know it’s a movie but I wonder about that years later. She had no immediate family at all except those two girlfriends and she seemed like an estranged orphan who was raised by her deceased grandmother. She seems to had a history of using men, playing them, and getting them to simp for her then she betrays them after she gets whatever she wanted.
Hill could’ve just quit being a damn cop to go move out of state to get away from that crooked police department or he could’ve told the big leagues on those crooked cops like Mos Def who was an extremely dangerous vile man.
Lastly, I think she was attracted to hill and grew feelings for him but I don’t think she was deeply in love with him like he was with her. He was blinded by her beauty & sex that’s all it was. It was lust that had him looking like a fool and unfortunately he got met with a dark ending; dude had to go down for a double homicide to where this whole lustful affair drove him over the edge.
It was such a dark twisted ending all over a young woman he only knew for a couple months his life was ruined instantly and all he could think about is all his moments with her. Like it was such a crazy moment & twisted moment, all he’s thinking of is her smile and beauty with her body laying lifeless & he’s getting handcuffs on him even while heading to prison for life.
Crazy how lust can be dangerous for either a man or a woman.
@Fourwindsofsuccess
@@Opbabyyx absolutely. She would’ve gotten worst with him. She wasn’t in love with him. She had feelings for him but it wasn’t like that. It was more of a lust sexual thing that turned into a small situationship that’s all. She would’ve used him had she got her hands on the guy who had more wealth and money which we saw it was rapper Blaze. Hill was so in lust with her and infatuation with her that he was blinded by the entire thing. All those cops knew Carmen was a troubled young woman with a jezebel spirit and they didn’t see her as nothing beside sex because they knew she was like a jezebel just really pretty that plays men for money or opportunities but he got played by her tremendously and ruined his good reputation.
She could’ve just stop messing with an engaged dude who was bounded to be married and let go of the rapper dude. She was using two men at the same time which is why she ended up being met with her demise and she got caught up in the whole thing. She got herself harmed. She was fame hungry to the bone and would’ve did anything. She was about to sleep her way to the top with blaze eventually. She became desperate & was miserable with her every day life. So, that’s why she was always in trouble.
I feel Mos Def would’ve still tried to murder her and hill together if he caught them together like at those hotels they were living in. He was vile crooked man, so I feel he was planning to kill them both or kill one of them unfortunately Carmen would’ve got harmed by him either way. He knew Hill told Carmen about his dirty cop work.
Hill knew wayy to much of Mos Def dirty cop work that’s why he was on him like that, he was a witness to everything so he wanted to kill him for it or he would’ve like set him up with something dirty to take the fall.
Hill knew Mos Def was doing illegal things but never reported to their bigger leagues in the law enforcement which is where he went wrong for himself. So he messed up his life over lust & sex pretty much it drove him to a dark ending where he had to serve a life sentence I’m sure for a double homicide or probably ended up on death row to be executed by law. The movie directors should’ve went more into that to give it a more realistic ending back in 2001.

Cards Never Lie
My last breath aside
And now I think about
If it's my time to die
I don't know
What I was thinkin'
Steady wasting time with Hill and
I need to live my life
Because my time is unforgiving
I can't understand
How my life changed around
Manifest my destiny

Blue skies are turning grey
And that's the point of indecision
Believing in the cards
You might start
Returning to your vision
