Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Beyoncé began performing in local competitions at age 7, eventually forming the group Girl's Tyme in 1990 with help from her parents. Girl's Tyme became Destiny's Child in 1997.
During the hiatus of Destiny's Child in 2003, Beyoncé released her debut solo album, Dangerously in Love, which became one of the most successful albums of that year, and signaled her viability as a solo artist. The disbanding of Destiny's Child in 2005 facilitated her continued success: her sophomore solo album B'Day, released in 2006, debuted at number one on the Billboard charts. Her third solo album, I Am… Sasha Fierce, was released in November 2008, and in 2009 she received 10 Grammy Awards nominations. On January 31, 2010, she won 6 Grammy Awards, breaking the record for most Grammy awards won by a female artist in one night; she previously held the record of five awards with 5 other artists. Following a career hiatus, Beyoncé released her fourth studio album entitled "4" on June 24, 2011, which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200.

It's really been weighing on me
Tell me what did I do
To have ya'll hating on me
When I don't have nothing to prove
Sometimes I shake my head
When I'm laying down in my bed
Thinking 'bout the things been said
Pre-Chorus:
Gotta clear up some things
There have been many things said about me
So many opinions, so many judgements, preconceived
It's out my character for me to feed into ya,
Give it a rest
You must admire me spend so much time on me
Consuming yo head...
Chorus:
I can't take no more
(I think its time for me to let it all out)
I can't take no more
(Why my name always up in yo mouth)
What you hate me for
(I'm so tired of all of these lies)
I can't take no more (hey), no more (no more), no more
Verse 2:
It's really been weighing on me
I'm not myself lately
I feel a little incomplete
But I'm not gone lose no sleep
I keep it all in my mind
Cause it gotta get better in time
Why don't you live your life
And let me live mine
Pre-Chorus:
Gotta clear up some things,
There have been many things said about me (said about me)
So many opinions, so many judgements, preconceived (preconceived)
Its out of my character for me to feed into ya,
Give it a rest(give it a rest)
You must admire me spend so much time on me
Consuming yo head (and I can't take it no more)
Chorus:
I can't take no more
(I think its time for me to let it all out)
I can't take no more
(Why my name always up in yo mouth)
What you hate me for
(I'm so tired of all of these lies)
I can't take no more, (hey) , no more, (no more), no more
Break-down/Bridge:
You,You, You don't know...(repeat x4)
Chorus (x2):
I can't take no more
(I think its time for me to let it all out)
I can't take no more
(Why my name always up in yo mouth)
What you hate me for
(I'm so tired of all of these lies)
I can't take no more, (hey) , no more, (no more), no more
Leave me alone, leave me alone
Just leave me alone, leave me alone,
Just leave me alone, leave me alone,
Just leave me alone, leave me alone
In "I Can't Take No More," Beyoncé addresses the scrutiny and criticism she's faced from the public and media. She starts off by expressing her frustration with people hating on her for no apparent reason, and how she's been affected by the rumors and negative opinions about her. She reflects on the things that have been said about her and how she doesn't have anything to prove. The pre-chorus talks about clearing the air and the many judgements that people have made about her, which she finds exhausting, and encourages the haters to let her be.
The chorus of "I Can't Take No More" is a declaration of Beyoncé's need to let it all out and to be free from the constant harassment. She doesn't understand why her name is always in everyone's mouth and why people hate her so much. She expresses her exhaustion with all the lies that are being spread about her and makes it clear that she can't take it anymore. The breakdown section of the song is simply "you don't know," repeated four times before leading back into the chorus.
Overall, "I Can't Take No More" is a song that showcases Beyoncé's vulnerability and frustration. She has worked hard to establish herself in the entertainment industry, and despite that, she is still facing judgment and criticism. The song highlights the fact that even successful people can feel the weight of negativity and criticism, and how it can affect them emotionally.
