Beyoncé performed in various singing and dancing competitions as a child. She rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of Destiny's Child, one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. Beyoncé is often cited as an influence by other artists.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Beyoncé began performing in local competitions at age 7, eventually forming the group Girl's Tyme in 1990 with help from her parents. Girl's Tyme became Destiny's Child in 1997.
During the hiatus of Destiny's Child in 2003, Beyoncé released her debut solo album, Dangerously in Love, which became one of the most successful albums of that year, and signaled her viability as a solo artist. February 18th I left my boyfriend as he said I didn't deserve a valentines gift as I was facing hospital as I am at risk of organ failure. The condition is reversible though. Fortunately I was well enough to stay home. The guy had hit me nearly breaking my collarbone I had held on for 2 years and he was then taking money off me and screaming at me down the phone. I used the money for his valentines present and bought roses for my big brothers grave ❤. Life got better after that I think he liked the roses. Id been in hospital the week before. I learned that this man could never love me.
