She says she's fine and everything, that nothing is wrong and she's not dying, not right now. EXCEPT SHE IS. she is actively dying, right now, right in front of us, in real time.

let me break it down for those who don't know how this works. right now, her heart is slowly cannibalizing itself, the muscle tissue of hear heart slowly being broken down and processed by her body as the nutrients it desperately needs to function, that her body is just not getting.

the human body is INCREDIBLE at compensating. if an artery or vein collapses, the body will re-route it's blood elsewhere, through other veins and arteries. if a part of the brain dies or is injured, other parts of the brain will be used and the brain will forge new neural pathways so it can continue to function. and if a person doesn't get the food they need, the body will start to eat itself, break down muscles, then bone, even vital organs, just to keep functioning as long as it can. the body will just keep compensating.

until one day it just can't anymore. in her case, until either her internal organs are so degraded and broken down that they begin to fail, or until her heart is so weak that it just gives up.

i work in a hospital, and i see this happen to people at work (i work at a hospital), where they come into the ER, not feeling well, but seemingly doing fine, only to find out that they're in multi-organ failure, and that there's not a whole lot that can be done to help them. because by the time they come in for treatment, it's too late. the body has been trying it's hardest to compensate for so long, and it just plain can't anymore.

the thing is though, when i see that, it's almost ALWAYS in the elderly, patients who are very old, or in people with chronic health conditions, who have been ill for a good long while. because that's not supposed to happen to you if you're otherwise healthy. your body can just compensate for one small issue until you get better, and then it goes back to functioning normally.

but the older a person gets, the more demanding and difficult it is on the body to rebound or "bounce back" from illness and injury. and with eugenia, she is CONSTANTLY forcing her body to function in a state of stress, by not eating enough, not getting adequate nutrition (and i would wager, probably not even enough hydration). her body is CONSTANTLY strained and working itself to it's limit, doing everything it can to compensate for her lack of nutrition. that's why she looks the way she does, because without the necessary calories to burn to function, her body has already burned through all of it's excess fat, and excess muscle tissue. and now she's at the stage where it will start to break down bone and other essential body parts. just so it can keep going.

a normal person skips a few meals and they're fine, because their body can burn through some of it's fat stores. That's WHY we have fat tissue in the first place. but her body has nothing left except it's own parts. and yeah, she'll keep going and going like this, but one day, her body will reach it's limit. and when she finally does fall succumb to the worst effects of her illness, her body will not have the necessary energy or resources to heal itself.

but she keeps stressing her body, not giving it the fuel it needs to function, keeps making her body work at that stressed level all the time, never giving it the time it needs to heal and recover, and that takes an INCREDIBLE toll.

so actually, yeah, she is dying. albeit slowly. but a hell of a lot quicker than the rest of us. and the saddest part is that, because of the toll that constant stress takes on the body, even if she got help tomorrow and began to recover, the damage she's done to her body might not ever be able to fully heal.

i would be willing to wager that she's ALREADY done damage to her bones that can't be undone (look up osteopenia), or damage to her heart that can't be undone.

for her sake, and the sake of everyone that loves her, family, friends, heck, even the die hard followers who don't want to see her go, i sincerely hope she gets help. but somehow, i doubt she will. at this point, i think she's in too deep to ever seek treatment again. especially since she's made it pretty clear she never wanted treatment in the first place.

if you, or anyone you know is struggling with an ED, PLEASE, PLEASE get help before it gets this bad.

there is no amount of "bad" that it has to be to seek help. i know some people feel like they aren't sick enough, but if you struggle with disordered eating at all, you ARE sick enough to justify getting help.

and what's more, you DESERVE to get help. you deserve to be happy and healthy. you deserve to love yourself. you deserve to live a life that revolves around more than just food or the number on the scale. And you deserve to know the kind of peace and freedom that comes with healing, where every day doesn't feel like a fight you just can't win.

please get help. i promise it's worth it. and so are YOU.

yeah i am recovered from anorexia and its definitely willful ignorance on their part. it isn't secret information that eating disorders cause people to behave delusionally, essentially hallucinate when it comes to their appearance, and seek out validation that we are "sick enough". but the thing all these door knobs for brains are forgetting is the intense brain damage and detachement from reality someone this emaciated is facing. Eugenia cannot use her brain to make coherent choices, because her body is eating it for fuel. the only other context i have seen women this emaciated is when i was about to be on a feeding tube, and we were being locked up in a psych ward where people were always screaming about crackers and juice. they act so cool and tough in the comments here, saying how she is despicable, but the most despicable thing I see is a mob of strangers salivating at the opportunity to be vicious to a dying woman.

It’s so disappointing to see this sad irony of someone with a severe eating disorder body checking and “lip syncing” to a song from a woman (Selena) who was proud of her curves, ate whatever she wanted, and was trying to be the best role model she could be to her fans. She lived her life to the fullest until she was murdered, she truly cared about the health and well being of her fans. I was born and raised in South Florida, the Baker act is a Florida thing. California has the# hold (can't recall the name) but I am certain that Connecticut has something very similar. I actually cried at this. It came up on my feed, I did not look for it. If people saw an animal in the same condition as this young woman, a humane society would get involved. Criminal charges would be pressed against the people responsible for caring for it. The animal would be taken to a shelter or foster home and nursed back to health, if possible. But because this is a very ill human instead of an animal, NO ONE DOES ANYTHING TO HELP HER.

The thing is, she’s an adult. She’s responsible for herself. She got help and she unfortunately relapsed. When it comes to things like ED’s and addiction, the person can only be helped when they want to help themselves. Something has got to click in their mind. She can be involuntarily hospitalised - but they can’t keep her there forever and as I said, you have to be willing to help yourself continue on that healing journey once you are discharged.

Not only that, but it can be hard to make a change when you feel as if you can’t stop what you’re doing. For me personally, I’ve suffered with binge eating on and off for majority of my life. I know I shouldn’t be doing it, but at times I can’t help it. I indulge in every form of food that I can get my hands on and then I sit there feeling guilty, shameful and disgusted with myself after. I know I’m in the wrong when I’m hiding the wrappers at the bottom of the bin and I know I’m in the wrong when I purposely binge things that I know will trigger my IBS, but when you’re used to living a certain way, it can be hard to break the habit/cycle.

Seeing her makes me glad I recovered from anorexia. I can only imagine the the phyiscal and enotional pain she feels 24/7. My heart aches for her. If you can't/ are unable to get or receive help that's one thing, also a problem and your own living, but at least, please, be conscious, considerate and responsible, there are many minds of any age or setting, fragile and prone to mainly mental damage in this case.. By letting people freely access this content you have an impact that can be harmful more than could be generally expected. I used to be in really bad phases too and there will always be that fear of all those things returning. Seeing this and knowing what feelings I had and many other people had/have, it is irrespective to them. Please stop. Being underweight is not a violation of yt rules. We assume (and rightly so) that eugenia has an eating disorder, but having an ED in and of itself is not against the yt rules. In fact, yt can't discriminate against someone for having a mental illness and ED's are mental illnesses, so if they removed her channel, she could sue and would likely win. Youtube has boatloads of lawyers on the payroll, and they would never make such an illegal move.

There is no minimum or max weight restrictions for being a yt content creator. There are many morbidly obese people on yt who actually do perform dangerous acts in every video by stuffing their faces with thousands of calories and calling it a mukbang. And then there's Matt Stonie, the competitive eater, who has timed eating videos in which he recklessly consumes 10k+ calories in a matter of minutes. This is seriously very dangerous and most of his subscribers are teenaged boys. Talk about a bad role model. Why does no one complain and report him? Matt is much more likely to influence a kid to harm themselves by trying to copy him or beat his record.

Eugenia would likely get worse if she lost her channel. She has no social outlet due to her controlling emotionally manipulative mother. Her only interactions outside of her family seem to be with people online. Without that, she would likely just whither away quietly and no one would even know. If she has any chance at not dying of this disease, it's through social media. It gives her a connection to the outside world. That shouldn't be overlooked because it's important and may help keep her alive.
